So, he doesn't mind getting paid while participating in this "filth"?

    Intereting religious and personal beliefs.

If he believes what he's saying, what, exactly, is stopping the guy from quitting?

a contract with CBS Television - which is perhaps why he's saying what he is in hopes the show gets cancelled

His role has been diminished, all but gone.
I think he's seen the handwriting on the wall and is taking his shot while we still know who he is.

Well, if it's his contract that's "forcing" him to stay on a show he personally considers filth, then I reckon' the courage of his convictions only goes as far as opening or closing his wallet.......

Maybe there is a clause that might allow one or both parties to, (I can't think of the legal term) to break/nullify it without a big fight - like charlie.

If you actually read the article, he's a 7th Day Adventist. I guess it's hard to make a crack about an obscure religious group and have it be as funny as a larger, more mainstream target.

He hates the show so much until the check hits his bank account. Maybe they should write him out of the remaining episodes of his year contract so he doesn't make diddly per episode.

This reminds me about the parents and the kid who starred in the film with Bruce Willis where the kid can see and talk to the dead. His parents were so appalled by the script yet put him in it, collected the contract and wouldn't let the kid see it or see it themselves because of "religious convictions." HH

He's been on the show for close to ten years now. You telling me that he couldn't simply not renew after the first or second contract was over?

Or buy his way out of a contract? He sure made enough dough.

There has to be some reason why he doesn’t just quit. I would think after Charlie’s little stunt they might have thrown in some stuff in all the contracts when they were renewed that wasn't in all the actor's favor. I would think they would want to put a stop to any further problems.

He just found the lord, and yes, it's estimated his salary is $350k/ episode.
