I just scored a 1st gen glock 17 in the tupperware and only 50 rounds threw her! I cant believe this thing has been sitting in a safe untouched for 23 years!

I loved the little loose round inserts so you could travel ala Operateur. Cool find.

Very nice score! Looks like it has a factory adjustable sight on it.

    Congrats

This is as close to "perfection" as Glock ever came. It's the original machine as Wilhelm Bubits designed it. Far less problems with the earliest samples and there's a reason for that.

Went through Basic Law Enforcement Training in the early 90's with a Glock 21 2nd generation. Sold it and regreted it ever since. Found a Glock 21 just like it last month. Bought it for $400. It was full of dust, powder, and grime and was bone dry with no oil. Didn't clean it and ran 200 rounds through it and it never missed a beat. Still didn't clean it and qualified with it at the PD to carry off duty (100 more rounds without cleaning, and shot two rounds of 100 score) and it still didn't hiccup. Glock's greatest guns are the 2nd gens. No finger grooves. Feels great and shoots great.

Just bought a G22 2nd Gen (Detroit Police trade in) used from a pawn store to compliment the 27 I carry every day.

If Custard had a few of them at Little Big Horn, he would have lived long enough to retire and be in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show!!!

Keep it as it is and dont send it in for the "upgrades". If anything, it would devalue it and Glock wont send you the original parts back.
