I've decided after 750 rds that I dont like the front strap cutout on the 19.5, not a big deal, just uncomfortable for me when shooting. After 500 rds in the 19x I realized quickly it's a buttload more comfortable to shoot, no cutout. I also dont like the Gen 4 frame finger things, although I have 3 of them, so I guess that says it all.......the 19x is PERFECT! For me

    I'm really thinking of getting a 19X.

Although I don't mind the cut outs on the Gen5s, I agree the 19X is one of my favorite Glocks to shoot and is why I just acquired my second 19X.

According to that saying I have one G19X twice.
How many G19X's did I purchase?

I’ve had my 19X for 5 weeks now and have shot 750 rounds through it without a hitch of any kind whatsoever. My prior range gun was the G19 Gen4 which I consistently shot low-left with because the trigger was an issue for me. The 19X trigger is outstanding...I shoot far more accurately with the 19X and I totally love how the gun feels and handles!
If you want a really great 9mm that’s a total pleasure to shoot... 19X is it.

I fired 167 through mine today. 25 @ 50 yd shooting. It and me are getting better.
Still zero stops. GLOCK trigger gets better as you go.

That relief on the bottom rear of the trigger guard always rubs my middle finger wrong.
I've decided to just let it callous up.

I’d like to get a 19x and cut the grip shorter. What do you think, good mod?

Personal preference. The cutout on my 19.5 doesn't bother me and I prefer the the finger grooves of my Gen 4 G19.I won't be getting a 19X because I find the grip is harder to conceal and the gun just looks out of proportion.Again, personal preference.

As much as the 19X is my favorite Glock and completely replaced my 17.4 as EDC.

If the Gen 5 19 had not had the cutout I'd own one instead of the 19X. I didnt see the point of the 19X and was sure that the grooveless 19 would be the ticket for me... until that danged cutout!

But in a happy circumstance I tried the 19X and the match was made. I do wish I could try a 19.5 with the Pearce baseplates but no one near rents 19s ar all, let alone Gen 5. I suspect I wont like them, but theres only one way to know.

I always thought that was one of the most idiotic things I’ve ever heard on the forum...

My G17/4 fits me very well. My G19/4 NOT SO MUCH (The way the back of the grip HUMPS I find annoying) If I had the $$$ I'd run out and buy at least 2 G19x's (Yes I want at least one)

I do enjoy shooting with a full-size grip a little more, but the gen 5 19 cutout doesn't even remotely bother me, and it conceals a little easier than my 19X (obviously). I carried/trained with my Gen 5 19 all summer, but will probably train with/carry my 19X all winter.

No. But, this is America, do whatever you want. (just don't hurt anybody else in the process).

Well, that would be one way to get a 19, grooveless, grip with no dumb cutout.

Personally I'd just get a gen 3 19 and grind off the grooves.

Lots, but only collectible guns that go up in value. It’s just investment stuff.

Its a good rule for planing operations to avoid single point failures. Gets really misused a lot though and is rarely used when talking about guns. For instance if you have a 19X and a gen 5 G19, not having a second 19X is not a failure point because you also have a Gen 5 G19. But if you need to take a group of people into Pakistan to kill someone who is in desperate need of killing having an extra helicopter is a really good idea.

I love the concept of the G19X, but like Bruce Wayne, I want it in black.
