Would appreciate thoughts on a reasonably priced OWB holster for my 19X. I was also wondering if I need to look at a lined holster for the finish on this pistol. Not certain how durable it is? I've seen pictures on the web where it really looks worn.

I use a Safariland ALS like this for mine, under $60 but not sure your budget. No finish issues so far.

I’d do something different for competition or dedicated concealed carry, but works for what it’s for (range/winter carry).

Absolutely Safariland ALS holster is what I use and it’s a great holster.

I use a Bravo Concealment which works perfectly amongst my 9 mm Glock pistols.

I haven’t had durability issues with the Glock 19X finish. I have one for suppressor and one for CCW.

I have also used the Vanguard 2 which just covers the trigger and has a clip for IWB.

I don’t worry about the finish of any of my guns, but I don’t notice much wear except on a Cerakoted gun.

If kydex, the Safariland 6378 ALS is what I have for my G19 and my P365.

Stay away from bravo concealment, damaged my 19X finish and they have the worst CCS in the industry!

I don’t know if G19X would look good in a leather holster.... But Mitch Rosen 5JR Express is an excellent OWB holster. I have it for a couple of CCW.

I have a Vedder LightDraw for every pistol I own. They have worked well for me.

I use a Galco Matrix for my Glocks, but would rather have a Vedder light draw (or anything Vedder).

Finish should be fine, the 19X finish is my favorite of all the Glocks I've owned. Durable, yet tacky even when wet.

Besides, it's a Glock, if it gets scratched.. no problem. If it bugs you after some time, send it in somewhere to get refinished.

Thanks for all the recommendations! I'll be picking up my 19X today from Rural King. Several years ago I owned a Serpa holster for a Glock I used to have. It had the finger release button on it and I had no issues with it and it secured the Glock well. I know now this holster is comparable to the black plague however would appreciate any thoughts on it's replacement the T Series holsters.

    Thanks!

The finish is as durable as that of any other Glock. No quality holster is going to scratch it. I have a lot of high end holsters. But I pretty much use a Tulster with snap loops all the time when I’m off, and some of the time when I’m working.

I use the Serpa for my 19 since I've practiced with that for so long the draw is literally second nature for me. Will the 19X fit in that holster or does Serpa make one specifically for the 19X?

After several days of waiting on Rural King to correct a computer problem I was able to pick up my 19x yesterday. Went out and put a few rounds through it and really, really like it. 19X.jpg
