Treated my Son and 18 yr. old Grandson to a Tactical Pistol Course 3 weeks ago.
Son shot his G17 and I gave my grandson his choice of several glocks and 1911's. He picked a full size 1911 over everything else.
He did really well with it, so I carried him and his girlfriend to the range today for him to shoot the pistol more.

After range session, I showed him how to field-strip it and clean everything and when finished.

I GAVE HIM THE PISTOL plus several mags, 200 rds. ammo and a new cleaning kit.
Also a new Desantis holster and double mag carrier.

He was really shocked but very happy.

You sir are a very good Grandpa.

I will have to wait a few more years until I can be as good as you.

That is outstanding. A MkIV Series 70 was my first auto pistol.

I never got to know my grandparents before they passed, but I would like to think that they would be like you. Way to go!

I gave my best friend and his wife a pair of M1911s last year for Christmas. Full size for his and Commander size for her.

Not only gave him a pistol but helped him and my son to build the Grandson a 1965 Mustang Shelby Clone.

It turned out great. Looks like a R model Shelby.

Thats awesome. You probably just gave him the most cherished item he'll ever own.
