    I have been a fan of the 1911 platform for years. Something tells me I got the bug from my Dad. R I P Dad, I miss you.

    Very tough. Very durable. Very reliable, never a hiccup. Very very accurate and eats everything I feed it. What more could I ask?.... ;)

    I know a guy who just bought an SR-1911 who is very happy with it. My first 1911 was my Springfield MilSpec.

    Sometimes the bargain and mid range guns don’t get enough love but they run well and provide a great introduction to the platform to get people hooked. You could say they help the platform thrive. First I tried my old Colt Mark IV. I liked it so much I snatched up my Mil Spec for 530. I liked that so much it made me pay 800 for my Kimber.

    1943 production Colt with serial number matching slide and frame. Also with the holster it was carried in throughout Europe during WWII.

    1911 pics didnt see where it says they must be yours. whats the difference? still get to see the range of whats possible in 1911 customization.

    i post the ones i like. not like im posting run of the mill mil-spec 1911 examples. if it is pleasing to my eye, them maybe it will b e p,leasing to others vwho may not have the means on r interest in purchasing one. who doesn't like gun pron lol...
