Very nice! I very nearly bought that model instead of my EDC X9 but ultimately decided I had the role filled acceptably by a Dan Wesson Valkyrie.

Might still get an ULCC in a few years.

Gritus Precision/ Caspian LW 9mm Officer, Lobo Gunleather Offside Clip holster, and Doc Shiffer 3" Recon flipper. This combo and the battered Citizen Skyhawk ride along with me most days.

I bought the ULCC second hand and was deal I couldn’t pass up. I had this same gun in 45 but ended up selling it a friend in a weak moment. I prefer 45, but this 9 is easy and fun to shoot. I’d like to try an EDC X9.

My EDC is my stainless Springfield TRP along with a 10rd Wilson mag. If leaving the house I put another 10rder on the belt. Even in shorts my TRP is with me....had a guy tell me once when he saw someone open carrying that people have to open carry in shorts and t-shirts, his state police experiance(he was a non-road trooper) showed you can't conceal a gun in that attire. I just smiled and went on, all the while in shorts, t-shirt, my TRP and 2 spare 10rders....

Thanks for all the responses so far. I’ve really enjoyed reading them, and looking at your pics. Y’all have some beautiful 1911s!

I often carry either a Dan Wesson VBob or CCO, both in 45, and I’m considering picking up a Valkyrie. I know, I already have the CCO, but I like the sights and front strap checkering on the Valkyrie. I probably should just get some skateboard tape and new sights and call it a day, but a new gun is a lot more fun... :D

I carry several 1911's. A colt 5 inch stainless delta elite in 10mm. A s&w 45 acp 4.25 inch scandium.. a ed brown 4.25 inch stainless executive carry in 45 acp.. i also have a rock island 10mm 4.25 inch carry . I find the 1911 fast and thin and very very fast and accurate. I have been shooting 1911's for 40 years. I have multiple colt and dan wesson and les baer guns i often use for competition. I love the 1911 platform. I dont have other than 45 and 10mm.

Yes they can be cold in the winter.. yes they can be a bit heavy. But i have many 45 acp carry guns and none of them are micro.

I think 1911 carry is for very experienced shooters only. I dont think they make good casual use guns if your not a 1911 person. I train a lot of new shooters with 1911's. With 185 grain light target loads.. little recoil... super light easy to figure out trigger.. easy to see sights.. very little muzzle rise... long enough pistol not to get any part of your hand in front of the barrel.. i teach many men and women about gun safety and how to shoot with them. I dont advise any new shooters to start w a 1911.

I never had a problem carrying my Colt government with a leather Tucker & Byrd holster. It’s a relatively thin gun and seems to stick close on your hip

This is often my carry pistol. 8 plus one critical duty and a spare mag of critical duty. She looks good for a pistol with thousands of rounds and lots of carry time.

As bac will tell you this scandium smith is considered the billboard model for obvious reasons. Not as pretty as most of my carry 1911's but I respect the simple function and weight of it. I trust it with my life like all my 1911's i shoot it well. It is 100 percent reliable. Hornady flex bullet design in critical duty will perform. 20200525_182549.jpg
