Now I got 11+1 in my G29. Was that ever possible? With 10 rounds the #10 peephole is not covered but I emptied it and counted ten. I went and tried the 11th round and it fitted and still have slack for the stripper ramp.

    The spring don't feel broken.

    Indeed.

Seeing is believing and sorry for the poor light. Maximize it and it'll be better.

Make sure it works. I once put 11 rounds in a 10 round G17 mag. The gun jammed, because there was too much pressure pushing up on the slide.

This wasn't the case. They all fed easily like it was made to hold 11. I've had mags that could not hold their total amount, usually one less til they break in. This one held 10 right off the bat and now that it's broke in I can add one more.

How easy/difficult is it to seat the magazine with 11 rounds on a closed chamber and then rack the slide? My G17 mags easily take 18, seat fine with the slide locked back, and even feed fine when the slide is released from the locked back position.. But on a closed chamber, they take more force to seat, more force to rack the slide, and mar up the jacket on the projectile.

If you can't feel a difference in force required to load to gun, etc. I'd say you're good to go. If you do notice that loading/racking, etc. is more difficult, it's probably wise to stick with just 10 in the mags for the sake of keeping the firearm easy to use.

I'm sure the "10-rd limit" is just a suggestion by Glock.

A 10 round mag is just that, 10 round. I tried 11 rounds of 10mm and it was too tight. Seems it only worked with 9x25 Dillon rounds. It has to be the bullet size that made the difference.

    Weird hey?

The minor detail that you were loading a 10mm magazine with something other than 10mm cartridges should have been in your original post.

It is 10mm cartridges, necked down to 9mm. When I tried the 10mm rounds then I found it was a tight fit. Yes, I got 11 10mm rounds in it but no slack like with the 9x25 rounds.

That's when I found the difference.

Going to guess Maybe 17, but they'll likely jam up as the internal dimensions are probably too wide.
