For White Tail Deer you will want to use either the 175 gr. Winchester Silver Tips or the Hornady 180 XTP or 200 gr. XTP as far as over the counter factory ammo goes.
For deer you do not want to use Hard Cast bullets. You want to use something that will expand when it hits. The average deer is not much bigger than a full grown 250 pound man. I have used 175 gr. JHP Winchester Silver Tips in the past...
