Thanks, but I am happy with Leadhead 250 gr. .44 cal. true Keith style SWC in my .44 reloads. I cast, but not with a hard alloy.

Why is it that in any thread with even the mere mention of the 10mm that 10mm Kool-Aid drinkers flock like dogs to a rotting animal and just roll in the carrion for page after page after page.......? :whistling:

    :animlol:

Compare 10mm to .41 mag, and you have a pretty close match ballistics wise. 15 rounds coming out of a Glock 20 has no real comparison. Add a Arredondo Plus 5 base to a Glock 20 mag, and you have the firepower of 4 .41 mags.

    You are kidding, right?

NO the 10mm is not in the same league as a full house .41magnum.I like the ballistics of the heavier 200 grain 10mm loads but I have to load the .41 mag DOWN to those levels.

The hottest 10mm major factory load was the Winchester silvertip. It just shook hands with the Winchester silvertip .41 SD load which we consider a ".41 special" load.

As good as the 10mm is and as much as I like those ballistics this BS about the 10mm being "close ballistics wise" has got to stop. The ten can't carry the full .41 magnums socks.

    Agreed amigo !

I never could understand why so many folks compare the 10mm with the 41mag, and even the.44mag. There just.is no comparison. I really like the 41mag frankly. Been without one for a while now, but got my eye peeled for another Ruger..

    Well late. Gotta go.

    Stay safe my friend.

Man I hate stuff like that... (passing things up, and later regret it that is). I been there and done that one to many times amigo. Yeh, I wish you would have jumped on that gun when ya had the chance !

I'm ready next time man. The $$$ stays in the pocket until I see one that has my name on it... haha.

Good luck to ya next time. Hey let's just hope there is a 'next time.' :faint: ha.

    Stay safe !

Absolutely right. Just because you can Frankenstein a 10mm to put it in 41 or Ahem..... 44 territory don't mean it's a good idea. 357 magnum will smack anything just as dead as a 10mm. There is prob a reason the 10 mill never caught on really huge. 357 mag also is in a revolver so it's reliability is much, much more than the 10mm. I will stick w my 7 shot 357 magnum

357 magnum is the best handgun caliber for 2 legged and ( in my area ) 4 legged predators. The 357 magnum will still be taking scalps when everyone else has long forgotten the 10mm. There is a reason why 357 magnum is called The King

Hey CM, good to see you are still kicking.
100% agree. This is that over hyped thing that many 10mm guys like to push. That 150-200fps shortfall is "the same" & it's just not. I can run 220gr bullets in my 4" 41mag all day @ 1250fps & not bend anything, 1300fps is attainable, really easy with 210gr. You are topped out in the 10mm with 200gr running that hard & that is running really hard in a 10mm.

The 180 gr. XTP, loaded to 1300 fps, and shot out of a RUGER BH 6.5" .357 Mag, is a very manageable and effective round.

I have a friend in CA who had a Model 57 .41 Magnum revolver. He let me keep it overnight once.
