Unique is fine for modest velocity "FBI Load" levels. Quicker burning powders like Bullseye can be made to work, but suboptimal. Slower burning powders are most suitable.

Blue Dot is one of them and a great overall powder for 10mm.

My favorite for max effort 10mm loads is Accurate No. 9.

Also consider:

Hodgdon Long Shot
Accurate No. 7
Alliant Power Pistol

You guys loading for 10mm, what are your favorite powders? I’m an Alliant/Hercules fan from way back, love Bullseye for 9mm/45,38spl. I see where a lot of guys like Blue Dot. Any help would be great, Thanks
I love to shoot a lot. Doing so I need to shoot lead bullets and my favorite load for the 10mm is 6.6 gr. of Unique for 1200 fps. 2nd best is 6.0 gr. of 231 for 1100 fps. Both loads behind 180 gr. Lead RNFP. These shoot well in my Colt Delta Elite and my Glock 29 and 20.

I like Longshot for top end loads and I've used Winchester 231 for some powder puff loads in the 900 fps range. I've heard AA#9 is good but haven't used any yet.

Of those 3 Power pistol is the fastest burning. Slower powders will give the highest velocities with the lowest pressures.

Yep. Why I like No. 9 the best, and put PP down the list.

10mm is no diff than any other pistol rd. Powder choice depends on what you want to achieve. I bought a 10 to run full power 200gr bullets. Bluedot, longshot & aa#9 give me best vel with accuracy. For lighter loads, anything you run in 45 will be fine in 10mm. A lot of 800x fans, but I never got great accuracy with the 200gr.

Taterhead covered it pretty well.

A couple of other powders that might work for you on the higher end is VV-N105 and VV-3N38. I use N105 for my 200gr WFNGC woods carry loads.

A great place to check out for 10mm load data and experience are the 10mm Reloading Thread located right here on GT, in the Gun Related Clubs subforums. At the top of the section are stickies for each powder manufacturer, Alliant is one of them.

These stickies were first start my McNett who founded Double Tap ammo. Lots of good load data and anecdotes.

I've never worked my way up to the warmer end of the 10mm reloading spectrum.
I typically use Unique for accurate, slower moving 155 and 165 grain loads.
For 180 grain bullets, I've found accurate loads at the low end with 800X and SR 4756 (which you can't get anymore).

Power Pistol is good for light bullets up to decently warm 180s.

Longshot and 572 can run the full gamut of weights up to 220s loaded hot.

800x has made the most power for me of any powder in the 10mm

AA9 is a great safe powder especially with 180gr+ bullets.

2400 can get some decent numbers from a longer barrel with heavies.

300mp was too slow in the 10mm.

Those are the main ones I've tried

I have not loaded 10mm in a while. I started putting some 200 XTP loads together over the weekend. I ended up using my old stand by 10mm powder again, Blue Dot. To me Blue Dot felt like it was a little softer shooting than AA#9 with top end Book Loads.
