I have a 10mm to 40 conversion barrel and a 40 to 9 conversion barrel, so I'm thinking that somebody could make a 10mm to 9mm conversion barrel. I really like the large grip on the G20 and would like the option of shooting 9mm in that gun.

I too have the 10mm to 40 conversion barrels you mention, for my 20, 29 and 40. I was looking into 9mm barrels as well and was told that reliability was an issue with the 9mm round and the heavier 10mm slides. Might be some truth to it or they would likely be more readily available.

Not sure on the longer 10mm magazines, but with my G35, it feeds 9's better with the G35/22 magazines and the conversion barrel, than with G17 magazines, go figure.

LW used to (may still) offer conversion barrels. I remember reading that functionality was hit or miss, and stout loads were necessary.

Another option would be to load up some 175gr LSWC in 40S&W cases, over a small charge of Clays. Mine cycle my G20, even with its 22lb recoil spring. Like shooting a .22LR.

I load 155 RNFP coated bullets with a small charge of Competition (same as Clays) and it works great in my G20. Recoil is very mild and it's pleasant to shoot, but I'm looking for a big grip 9mm. So far, the only think I can think of is a double stack 1911 in 9mm.

My Sig P226 with a Hogue rubber 3 fingered grip fills my big hand quite nicely. Ditto my Sig P229.

In my 20, I have the 40 and 357Sig conversion. Both conversions use the 20 magazines.
In my 23, I have the 357 and 9mm conversion. The 357Sig conversion uses the 23 mags. The 9mm conversion for this frame uses 19 or 17 magazines.

In addition to finding magazines to work, how would you handle the ejector on the 20 to 9mm conversion. Would the stock ejector work?
