I recently replaced the 10/22 i sold years ago.

The one I used to have was a stainless model with a wooden stock. They dont make that model anymore.

I bought a stainless one in a synthetic stock.

I want to replace the synthetic one with a wooden stock.

Where does one purchase a "stock" wooden stock?

any idea what a synthetic stock would sell for?
is it a fair trade to offer someone a synthetic stock for a wooden one?

    Thanks in advance

Factory wood stocks are pretty common on the used market, and trading a synthetic for a wood stock would be fair to me.

    Try the classifieds at http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/index.php

I haven't been there in years, but I believe eBay allows gun parts again, so you might look there as well.

You should have luck at either place. Expect around $30-$40 for a standard birch "take off" stock. If you are talking about walnut, the price goes up considerably since they are less common.

I will look when I get home to see if I still have my wood one. If so you are welcome to it just pay shipping. It is just the standard factory one. You have the standard barrel correct? If you have bull barrel it wont work with that.

Wow I think the last one I bought complete rifle with stock was $180.... It was not that long ago. I think all I kept from it was the receiver and bolt. The rest was aftermarket.

I remember when you could buy the whole rifle, new in the box, for $99!

It was quite the event when the price broke $100! LOL
