http://www.azcentral.com/community/...0100315death-row-inmate-hanging-abrk0315.html A 46-year-old prison inmate who was sentenced to death for the sex attack and slaying of a real-estate saleswoman in 1996 committed suicide Sunday, the Arizona Department of Corrections said. James Adams was found hanged in his cell and pronounced dead at 3:29 p.m., spokesman Bill Lamoreaux said. Adams, in prison since November 1997, was serving time at the Eyman facility of the Arizona State Prison Complex in Florence. Adams was convicted of first-degree murder, kidnapping, attempted sexual assault and second-degree burglary in the February 1996 killing of 22-year-old Michelle Cohen Anglin, who took Adams on a tour of a model home near Cave Creek Road and Union Hills Drive when he tried to sexually assault her and choked her to death. Police found buttons from her blouse and semen stains in the bedroom closet. Her body was stuffed under the bed. Since 1998, four disciplinary infractions have been recorded against Adams in prison, including disorderly conduct, disobeying order, possession of a weapon, and a sexual offense. Anglin's mother, Peggy Cohen-McCall, said she cried tears of joy at the news of Adams' death."I want everybody to tip their glass to Michelle tonight in honor of her," she said. "He destroyed my life, he destroyed my family. I am ecstatic. This is a good day." Anglin had been married three months when she was killed, Cohen-McCall said. Her husband, Hudson Anglin, was killed in a car accident five years after his wife's murder. The Arizona Department of Corrections is still investigating Adams' death.
