Think about it....when you're "famous" they build things & put up statues of you that pigeons come along & crap on.

Have you EVER seen a statue of Al Capone getting crapped on ?

With your predilection for being notorious maybe you should shoot for being infamous.

Naw, don't want to go that far, that's for the "bad guys" !
Even Capone did good things for people in his own way, supported soup kitchens and things like that, for folks who were really bad off.

also true. One of his (REALLY CUTE) niece's was a model in the Chicagoland area for several years. Didn't use the family name for obvious reasons.

we got rained on again yesterday late afternoon/early evening:drowning:with more forecast :(

Uncle they're looting your town. Load up the Kubota. Time to get over there and get some bounty.

So, it's the middle of August and you are still literally up to your eyeballs in mud.

    Yep !

Yeh, Chicago raised the "drawbridges" last night to contain the idiots, there's a lot of bridges over the Chicago River & they all have to move for sailboats & other tall craft to get thru (that's Federal/Maritime law) so a lot of the city can be shut off. They made a mistake last night, they started shooting at the Chi cops, they WILL shoot back, and stray fire might hit more than the one that shot at them. Collateral damage:dunno:not their problem !
If they get out here, it WILL get ugly, but will also be over QUICKLY. Us out here in the "Boonies" don't have any rubber bullets ! :50cal: :2gun:

Now I see why you want a moat. Chicago's got one, so Uncle wants one. Doesn't a muddy field work as well, or maybe even a little better?

We had a bit of a storm yesterday/last night (more:drowning:rain) and just about the time I was going to push the button.....LIGHTS OUT !
Power off here about 6-7 hrs., I GOTTA get that generator replaced:dunno:A.S.A.P. !
We had no major damage, lots of small stuff blown down, neighbor south about 1/4 mile lost a small maple, but that was it on our street. There were over 500,000 without power in northern IL, and about 16,000 without in McHenry Co. alone. A lot worse south & west of us thou, so we dodged the bullit AGAIN ! But without power, I did get into bed earlier than normal. ;)

From tonight's news, Chi is a lot quieter tonight than it has been, let's hope the idiots learned from being cut-off by the bridges that they have nowhere to go except jail.

I'm glad things are working out.
I stooped over to clean the chain ring on my bike and my bike decided to start a protest of its own.
Being confined to the comfy chair has caused me to come up with a few unimportant observations. For example, the syndicated reruns of Modern Family are on at the same time as the new episode. I guess that's what happens when show is run 24/7. Not a fan myself.

She's a looker alright. I don't watch it, but have channel surfed through it a number of times. They push all the token buttons, that's for sure.
