I agree with the bar. She would be scaring off the paying customers up there. What if she fell on some frat boy and squished him like a bug.

It is a privately owned bar, and they don't "owe" her anything. If it was my bar she and her friends would be banned as of right now. Take your business elsewhere.

"they told my friends and I to go back" any college girl who is stupid enough to use the nominative "I" when it clearly should be the objective "me" doesn't deserve to go on stage

What a loon. If she gets up there and falls off and injures herself or someone else (more likely the latter) then she's going to file a lawsuit claiming "the business failed to insure a safe environment" for their clientele.

Some people are just out to cause trouble and they don't care how they do it.

Yep. I think if somebody told me I was too fat and gly for their bar, I'd want nobody to know about it, instead of publicizing it in the press. I wonder if she thinks being fat is the only thing that amkes them call her ugly?

I agree, even if she lost 50 lbs she'd still be a bow wow.

The woman's size has nothing to do with this line of exposure. If this is the rationale for discrimatimg against one person it is the same for all.

She is not out looking to cause trouble, she just wants to have fun and enjoy herself with her friends.

The bar has the right to be jerks and discriminate against overweight people, conservatives, gun owners, hunters, bald men, short people, tall people, and so forth all they want.

I am personally discriminatory against people (in particular women) with tattoos. Perfectly legal and with more rationale than any given for the discrimination against our overweight college girl.

The reason for discriminating against the overweight girl is the bar want sexually attractive girls dancing up there to bring in more college boys.

If she wants to go out and have fun with her friends, then she needs to lose weight and not be the "grenade" in her group.

And yes, she is out to start trouble, the instant she was told she was too fat, ugly, or whatever to be on the table, she should've left.

Have a great gun carryin' Kenpo day

    - Officer, I want to press charges! This bar discriminates against me!
    - Well, it's because you are fat.
    - I want a second opinion!
    - Okay. You are ugly too.

why is this even news? It is a private establishment, they should be able to "discriminate" against anyone they want.

    Especially Uggo McFatty there.
