It wouldn't surprise me if production of it is set aside because LE interest/orders has subsided with the other new configurations being churned out.
Permanently discontinued? Dunno. I've been told by a couple of Glock reps that as reps, they're often the last to know what Glock corporate is planning at any particular moment.
Even so, when Glock lists the G19X as:
GLOCK's first ever "Crossover" pistol, the GLOCK 19X, combines the best features of two of its most popular and most trusted field-tested platforms.
I'd be surprised if they permanently "discontinued" a model described as their "first ever" anything. Maybe not do any production runs if other models are in more demand, waiting until some agency or large vendor asks for a run of 19X's, maybe.

Your'e probably right, but if I were a large vendor I'd ask for a run of 19x's in BLACK. otherwise no great loss if the gun is discontinued as long as we have the G45.
From the beginning, the plan was for the 19X to be a limited run. But when sales exploded, Glock made the decision to slate it for additional production runs.
In late August I was told by a large LE distributor that the 19X will be discontinued, but no exact date was offered.
The 19X is the coolest looking pistol Glock has ever offered.
Personally, I'd like to see it discontinued as initially planned. Because then it will gain legendary status.
Then, imagine how the valuable the G19X will become if they discontinue the Tan G19X ... only to release a run of G19XG's (G=Green), strongly hinting that it's planned to be discontinued at some undisclosed future date. The horror of it all ...
They have discontinued several pistols. They just haven’t discontinued one this popular.
The G17L is sorta-kinda available as a Gen3, but made in limited quantities and not constantly available. The G24 may or may not be in production in limited quantities, but I couldn’t swear to it. They also discontinued several compensated models and I don’t think they are currently producing anything in Olive Drab.
I don’t keep up with all the things Glock does in limited quantities or discontinues. The point is that they do stop production of things all the time, they just usually don’t stop building something that sells in high volume like the G19X.
I am surprised that they have kept up production of the 19X a whole year after introducing the G45.
From someone on Glock ID yesterday: I went to my LGS and asked them. They called their Glock rep and he said that that only the Austria manufacturing was stopping. 19X production would be moved to the USA.
Americans are the biggest buyer of any high capacity handgun. Most countries have given up their freedoms. Wasn’t the American factory supposed to be tooling up to make all the federal contracts anyway? I believe made in America was a requirement on most.

I assume, hopefully incorrectly, that you regard "standard" capacity 10 rounds or less? Standard capacity of a 19X is 17 rounds I believe. High capacity would be more than the pistol is sold with originally, i.e. 33 round magazine.
I can s them phasing it out and eventually, the 19X could become quasi-desirable...but in two years they've mfg'd an awful lot of them so I don't see them becoming highly-collectible.
I figured it was a limited run. The whole "X" factor lost my interest when they put it to the 43. They probably won't click an X on anything else for a while.
