Son Mike had a '79 Mustang, 351 +.030 =358cid.
351 in a Fox Body. Windsor? No Cleveland, I presume. So, how did you do it. I figure you either have a tiny air filter, a cowl induction hood, or thin little motor mounts.

Ford Futura.... with a 351. I could get jiggy with that.

Windsor, custom motor mounts (thanks Dad) huge air filter & matching hood scoop. Looked a little like a Mopar Ramcharger's scoop, not quite as large. Cleaner stuck thru hood about 2", was 14" diameter.
also: formed, integral scatter shield from 1/4" AR 400 plate, custom trans mounts, sub-connectors from Saleen, fabbed cross tube tying seat mounts/subframes together. Lots of other things, replacing a lot of the uni-body sheet metal with 14 ga. to stiffen up entire car.
ZERO sound deadening, all body rot replaced w/steel panels, some custom made by me, again, stiffened everywhere, but severe diet on rest of car. Even the Wagner headlights were the Lexan version, about 1lb. lighter per light than stock glass ones.
Fuel system was also far better than stock, I custom made a pickup tube to duplicate the Ford shape, but out of 1/2" 22 ga. wall tube instead of the factory 1/4", and hard-plumbed same tube to fuel pump & filter. Filter was a 1 qt. spin-on from a Cat diesel equipped truck, plumbed w/1/2" pipe fittings. No restriction here ! Areoquip 1/2" braided line up to regulator & carb block, split into a pair of 3/8" braided lines to duel-inlet carb. Also included a 3/16" braided RETURN line to tank, so pressure held constant & there was always cold fuel to the carb.
Lots of thought into this one !
When Mike sold it, next up was going to be a full set of Baer Racing disc brakes. It was also about 1 1/2" lower than stock, with proper tire clearance for full suspension travel. "Z" rated Comp T/A's all around, balanced to 150 mph (highest that my BFG dealer could go on his machine)

G33,
With the loss of our Dear Rabbi, we have left the request for filter materials up to Engineer151515, as he IS in charge of "N"Sweat Lager production.

Let us please remember Rabbi on 5-27, the sad anniversary of his passing:crying::israelflag:

Plastic guns are FUN !

uncle
I wonder if that explains why I own more than ten of them. I even have a plastic revolver now.

And they can be tossed in the dishwasher when they get really dirty....;)

#19,732 ·
I'd be more worried about the next load of dishes than the actual guns themselves.

#19,733 ·
No problem, just run a sani-cycle after you run the guns & all is well ! Just like cleaning a stainless Ruger black powder Blackhawk.

R.I.P. Rabbi.

Met him in person many years ago @ an Indy GSSF match, he was a R.O. for the host club.
Even funnier to talk to in person ! Knew several good places for Pizza & beer, but none of the local places served "N"Sweat Lager …..

Some low hanging fruit from a samuraiRabbi search:

I apologize for making two consecutive posts on a thread; this places me in violation of the Code for Caliber Repartee. I think the dungeon drugs are subverting my brain. Fortunately, I am still able to keep multiple sets of books for the 10-Ring facilities.

Dual hair dryers... I recognize the snail bodies coming off the exhaust (as turbos) but what are the two devices perched on top? It really is a plumbers nightmare.

That pic is still missing (?!!!?) some plumbing ! Those are injection throttle-bodies, and the high pressure outlets from the turbo (round castings right before the waste gates[black end pcs.]) would pipe to a set of inter-coolers & then to the throttle body inlets. Needs about another 3 feet of plumbing & coolers ! The waste gates do 2 things, limit max boost & also dump pressure to let the turbos spool up quicker, eliminating turbo lag. It's a fine balancing act when done right, and waste gates make a spectacular sight during night racing eg LeMans or Daytona 24 HRS.
