I've been searching for a 9 millimeter handgun with a great trigger. My question is do a lot of guys not like the PPQ because of its high bore axis or for any other reasons?? Thanks

You can carry a PPQ as an EDC with a quality kydex iwb holster. It’s a great gun. Yes, it’s bore axis is higher than a Glock’s. Sigs have a pretty high bore axis, too. If you really want a low bore axis, try a Steyr with 5heir trapezoidal sights and you can really engage multiple targets.
If you look at this or any other handgun forum, there will always be a debate on bore axis. Whatever route you go for an edc, the best choice is going to be one than you like the way it feels and one that you will train properly with. The real truth regarding edc is that if you ever have to use it a real world situation, you are going to revert to how you practiced and trained. Odds are that real world situation will be at a very short distance and last seconds.
Only you can decide what gun to buy. Whatever it is you get, just train with it. The rest is really message board discussion material.
