I watch a couple of forums related to guns I'm interested in, but there's a lot more action in the general firearms forum. The Glock 36 forum hasn't had a post since September. :sadangel: https://www.glocktalk.com/forum/thin-to-win-g36-club.195/
I think the Sig has better ergonomics than the Glock. No finger grooves and no hump at the bottom of the grip. But the only thing wrong with the Sig is that it's a crunchenticker DA/SA decocker gun. I'd rather the gun be DA only that could be carried cocked and locked.
Years ago I almost bought a Sig US Navy gun that was identical to the issue gun and had all the markings, and in spite of the fact that it was a crunchenticker, I really liked the gun and it was a lot less money than the Colt M45A1 CQBP which is what I really wanted at the time, but couldn't afford.
And at the time I thought that SIG Sauer had a really good reputation for quality but that's changed over the years. Hopefully the P220 series guns are still fairly well made and I hope that you're happy with the one you got.
Congrats, that GG trigger is pretty nice.
I've owned a few Sig Sauer handguns between 1991 and now.
From WestGerman guns to NH frames w/ German slides, to the full Exeter NH guns and have never had a functional problem with any of them.
Mostly I just got tired of trying to keep up with their rainbow gun of the month club and teasing new guns in their catalog that just never made it to production.
All that said, I've had this one sitting in my shopping cart all week [emoji847]
I don't know, it's definitely worth their asking price.
After about 18 Sig handguns over the years it's just a bit more tactical then I'm looking for at the moment. I may just be getting old or something. Honestly, if it didn't have the light rail like the early guns I'd probably have jumped on it right away.
This week I ended up ordering a CZ 75B SA and with the price difference between the two guns I could invest in the .22LR conversion, well that or another couple thousand rounds of 9mm from SGA.
Since 1994 I have a .357 SIG as carry round.
First of course the P229. Since then I had any gun you could find in .357SIG!
Even a 1911 Nighthawk!!
Love this round and matter a fact loaded yesterday some with my Dillon 650.
Let me know if you like some loading info.
