I understand that not every "every day carry" can truly be every day, and that sometimes one has to modify which gun is carried because of greater or lesser concealment challenges. But the concept of a "carry rotation" wherein a (usually) small group of guns are carried on a rotating basis, not necessarily based on what you are wearing, seems to make little sense to me. Possibly it makes sense if all of the different guns carried function essentially the same way, i.e., none have a manual safety (like Glocks) or they ALL have a manual safety, or where they are ALL double action only, or none are double action only. When I read that some carry a G26 one day, a 2-inch airweight revolver the next day, then a 1911 compact the next day, it seems like a recipe for problems when the moment of truth arrives. Adrenaline flowing, muscle memory (hopefully) coming into play, and then what, a pause while you try to remember what gun it is you are pulling out of the holster? But my guess is that some here on the Forum just like to buy a lot of guns, and if they sit virtually untouched in the safe for months or years at a time it brings about a sense of guilt, so thus, "carry rotation".
