I doubt they will be that quick with a 34 or 26. I'd love the 34 but I fail to see the point of updates to the 26 when the 43 and 19 exists still.
My wishlist would be a single stack 9mm the size of the 19 and thickness of the 36 with a forged locking block rated for a steady diet of +P+ ammunition.
I hope the G26 Gen5 has that huge back strap hump reduced down to a third of it's height. I don't know if there will be a G30.5 because the locking block pin seems needed on it ?
I really like the removal of the locking block pin and finger rests.
A pistol caliber carbine configured similar to the Beretta Cx4 Storm (which would be its only competition besides the Kel-Tec Sub 2000) would be a better investment.
Not sure if it will be this year or not....just a dream.
I have a 40 S&W pistol/carbine combo (Ruger). Now I want a Glock 9MM carbine to go with my G26
well because 40 is for sale everywhere and lots of law enforcement still carries 40 and will not switch to 9MM . think how many cops with 40's will buy them, just like all the G27's out there
G34 Gen 5 with MOS configuration would make a very nice pistol. With the marksman barrel, this seems like an obvious addition to the Gen 5 lineup. A 40 caliber on a single stack G36 size frame would be Glock’s first single stack offering in 40. I think it would make a lot of sense, the G36 only holds 6 in the magazine, it is large for only holding 6 + 1 rounds. An 8 + 1 version in 40 would appeal to me and it would be a good excuse to bring the G36 into Gen 4. Many of Glock’s competitors offer single stack 40s so filling in this gap would make sense for Glock. I don’t like manual safeties so the army contract gun if offered to the civilian market is not for me, but it would appeal to those who like having a manual safety.
