Bought a MRO from amazon and put it away till hunting season. When I went to install it months later it would not zero. I had been to long to return it to amazon so I sent it to Trijicon. It was a fake. I have owned 5-6 different Trijicon products but had never seen a MRO. It was a good copy.

FWIW I bought a pair of electronic earmuffs from Amazon a few years ago then a year later got an email from Amazon that they had sold ‘fake copies’ of them unknowingly. The email showed me how to open them up to confirm if mine were real, they were. But Amazon was still offering credit for fakes. Don’t blame the seller if you haven’t given them a chance to make it right. These fake copies are everywhere.

And FYI Magpul makes their own ‘airsoft’ version of some of their products like sights, they’re usually good at pointing that out but be aware.

If you haven't already contact amazon that is it counterfeit. They should make it right. Defective return is not the same as counterfeit
This times a thousand. You should be able to get this cleared up no problem trough Amacrap.

Especially if you have paper or electronic proof that it is a fake.

Looking forward to see how they handle this.

Wow. Should be able to return it and get reparations.

I’m guessing the lesson is to 1. Buy local, or 2. Online from Brownells, Midway or Lenny Magill’s Glock Store.

405Dave, this concerns me very much. Not trying to be a turd, but could you please post the link to the item from your Order History? Would you also provide the amount you paid? I'll also assume that your invoice charged tax, please confirm that too if you would.

I just want to run this through camelcamelcamel.com

Many thanks.

I would waste no time contacting Amazon. Email Jeff Bezos directly at jeff@amazon.com. Worked for me on an entirely different subject. Had supervisors blowing me off on a scam where some idiot in the Far East convinced some Amazon employee to change my mailing address of 20 years and bought a Samsung Galaxy S8 with all the bells and whistles for $904. Took Jeff to get the clowns in order.

I installed a Trijicon RM06 RMR on my Glock 17 MOS. It was a genuine Trijicon

Was the ordered fulfilled by Amazon, or was it through a private seller/store on Amazon?

A regular and frequent Amazon customer for many years, I feel extra secure because Amazon is involved in the sale. Amazon has always seemed (to me) very protective of its customer service repution, and willing to make the extra effort to make things right. By the time you make your complaint, there is doubtless a long line ahead of and behind you — so Amazon should be aware of the legitimacy of your complaint.

I have always found Amazon a very good place to purchase many items. When I did encounter a problem it was corrected immediately. I do look at where the item is coming from and who is backing the purchase. Pay attention to where the product is being sent from, the manufacture and does Amazon back it up. I never purchase from the other sellers just because the price may be a little cheaper. The world is full of scammers.

Another reason why it's a good idea to inspect a product immediately after receiving it.
Once you skip past the point where your purchase is protected, all bets are off. And it's really hard to put the blame on the vendor at that point.
AGREE. I'm the oddball of course. One who buys Amazon quite a bit but NOT Trijicon (although have several) "after finding out who they support. So I won't Offend any of them which it seems you can do with just a word these days, lets just say I found they support those not of our country the USA.

well i have been a online buyer since the beginning and not used Amazon more than a few items for my Parents....i am so sorry u got burned....and shocked that Amazon will not help u no matter how long it was...i know after reading this...i will not do any more business with them....i had no idea they have these issues....thank u for the heads up..as a business owner and upper management for over 25 years...i would keep moving this up the food chain on Amazon too...someone will help...you need to be the squeaky wheel and they will take care of it...get all the documentation together so they can see what u are going thru....they will not want problems like u springing up...it hurts the bottom line....God Bless,John

Hey Barry, it was 399.00 + tax and came to 421.00 give or take some change.

Yes, now it all makes sense.

You purchased a used, but maybe like new, product from Amazon Warehouse. I saw several when doing a search. Amazon Warehouse charges tax just like Amazon.

So my lesson learned is not to purchase expensive "used" items from Amazon Warehouse without being comfortable with the return policy.

My confidence level has now been restored with regular items "Shipped and Sold by Amazon"

Can't thank you enough for clearing that up, because we buy a ton from Amazon.
