Here's the whole story.
I sold my AK-47, finally fess up to myself that it is a lousy gun design, 4" groups at 100 yards, JUNK!
Got the cash, Went shopping for a CZ 75. Found only a 75B. So I got it.
Came home. Polished all the action to silverware shine. Frog lubed. Went to the range and did just a couple of Mags.
The CZ-75B stock is MORE consistent (with me as the shooter) than my Glock 17. OK.
So I have no use for G17 now, put it up for sale. Sold it. Sold my G26, too.
Three days after I got the CZ 75B with only one short trip to the range, I found this guy who needed cash for a carbine and willing to sell his 50-round (?) old SP-01 Tactical cheaper than I can imagine. So I bought it.
To date, I've "brought offerings" to Cajun Gun Works in exchange for a few things: Short Reset Sys 2, Type 2 Disconnector, Low Power Trigger return Spring. Installed them in the SP-01. Did polish job. Frog Lubed. OOHHHHH, SOOOOO SWEEET a shooter it is. 2" group at 10 yards ????? You've got to be kidding. My G17 wasn't able for that.
DA is probably just over 5 lbs. SA is probably very close to 2lbs and its reset point is probably half of what it was. On SA reset, it just stop at reset point, then the break point is probably 5mm back. It moved like butter. In contrast, Glock guns have a lot of vibration. So was my Sig P236. This SP-01 is a steady platform. Feels sooooo good in my palm. Fits perfectly, much better than the 75B. Sweet and solid piece of instrument. This is the one to keep. Like the U-2 lyric, "I've found what I've been looking for..."
Why no one told me about CZ-75 product line ?????
Now, I really have no use for a 75B. Looking for a buyer.
I got interested in them after listening to a couple of Pro Arms podcasts where they entered the discussion. I got an SP-01 Tactical, but, after appreciating the simplicity of the design, I think i will eventually get the "plain" 75B.
I was researching for a Browning High Power purchase when I heard the statement made in the podcast that the CZ-75 was the evolution of the High Power, supposedly correcting a couple of Browning deficiencies.
I'm sure the 75B can be quite nice after something like SRS2, Type 2 Disco, RPower TSpring from Cajun Gun Works.
And you can go overboard on money spent with a new hammer that is more crisp.
The most notable thing for me is that the 75B Beaver tail dents into my hand while the SP-01 curls upward with a slightly deeper grip. On the other hand, the 75 Compact feels really nice in my hand.
It's the grip that makes the gun feels like an extension of the arm, however, it's different for different people.
Back at the range today. For the first time in my years of FireArms life, I really enjoy shooting 9mm with a pistol. I mean really savor and enjoy every trigger pull.
So now, I'm starting to think about the economics of reloading, $0.15 per round vs $0.23-$0.26 buying. I already have the Lee setup from before and LongShot powder and lots of brass picked up.
I was going to get some fancy wood grips for my CZ, but I fear that they won't feel as good as the factory grips. There is something very special about the contours of the stock grips.

I have the SP-01 Shadow and the P-09 and they are both great in their own way.
Put thousands of rounds through them, especially the SP-01 and have never had a failure of any kind.
They make me look like a better shot than I am.
I shot one at an indoor range several months ago. It was a rental gun and I didn't do anything other than the usual safety check. Damn, that gun was one of the sweetest shooting guns I've ever handled.
True. Depending on the size of property, 7.62x39 isn't for home defense in my case. Its original purpose was for assault purposes.
It sounds like You're projecting your unique needs on other people. And you do seem to contradict yourself, in that for home defense purposes, ammo price is irrelevant. In virtually all of America, you don't need to defend yourself every day, to the tune that ammo price becomes important. For most people here, they should buy the best for home defense, hoping that they would never have to use it. Only for shooting fun that ammo price is relevant.
Secondly, you fear being rushed by a group of people. That's unlikely in America, all though possible... unless your property is the meth production facility. But even with that minute possibilities, an AR-15 5.56 is more nimble with more ammo can be carry. A rare but more likely case is being burglarized by 2-3 individuals. So a 12 gauge with slug is more than enough.

I can get good defensive 762x39 for $200 per thousand. Soft points.
The cheap price allows you to practice more than you could with any other platform save for maybe 9mm by a tiny margin.
I never said anything about being rushed by a group. You made that part up.
Not a fan of the ar. I have shot dozens and had failures out of numerous ars.
I have five aks and a vz. Never once a failure that wasn't ammo related out of untold thousands of rounds.
The ak is capable of better than 4 moa.
You mentioned the ak. So you invited talk about it. Don't bring it up and then act like I'm wrong for referencing what you said.
