Sold my G19 Gen 4 and upgraded to the CZP10C. Nothing wrong with the Glock, however it's ergos were not as good as the CZ P10 model. I do however still have a G17 Gen5 for duty carry and competitive shooting and I will also use the CZ for the police pistol league-shooting club.

I fell in love with the CZ P10C after trying it out at a SWAT pistol-training event. What a sweet trigger, amazing ergonomics, way better bore access than the Glock 19, it's grip angle is also very pleasant oh and by the way, she's a sweet shooter. Extremely accurate even at 25 yards. G19 served me well, but now, CZ is king~ Especially in the compact pistol market.

Walther, S&W, CZ etc are years ahead of Glock and its time that Glock engineers take notice. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Glock’s and I appreciate my G17 G5 but CZ truly did their homework with this P10C~

Meh. The grip length of the CZ P10 “C” is much closer to the G17 in overall height.

The G19 is noticeably shorter for concealed carry. The ergos, trigger etc however are certainly an improvement on the CZ.

I'm sure that "some or many guys" believe "ALL" that the internet says, or YouTube. At the end of the day, it's all a matter of personal preference and taste. But many of us would agree that Glock engineers need to catch up to the competition. I love Glock, don't get me wrong. Carried an issued G22 and 27 for many, many years. Also, carried the G19 as well. Glock's will always have their fan, "some" quite radical too. Many don't have any real world training on different firearm platforms, let alone have worn a uniform as a public safety official, attended boot camp, infantry school, a LEO academy, nor served in the military and many, upon many have never served in combat (actual combat). However, they swear up and down to label themselves subject matter experts with no real credentials. You will always have your Internet gurus, "specialist" and YouTube commandos. Hell the Internet is full of them but at the end of the day, what matters most is personal choice and taste. How many videos are out there bashing Glock's on YouTube? As well as many other firearm platforms? Too many to list. The fact is that “ANY” firearm platform can have its flaws, many of them manmade or created due to poor improper firearm handling or know how. No “firearm” in existence is a “PERFECT” firearm. Many are known to be dependable, reliable, durable etc etc. That’s why in the United States we have thousands of firearms manufacturers, for each firearm has its cult following, likes, dislikes, fans, etc. What’s good for you may not be necessarily good for others, just like anything else in life~ I’m not saying that Glock 19 is a bad firearm, however, CZ really, really did their homework and perfected the flaws of the Glock brand~ As well as many t other firearms makers~ IMO, Glock’s truly need to re-think its engineering and strategy before its too late. Just my 2cts~

I like the P-07 and the 75PCR.

Congrats on the new pistola. One small point, when I saw the word “COMPACT” in the title I was expecting a much smaller pistol. That looks like a full size pistol to my eye. I assume there is a regular P-10, right? Is it much bigger than this version you have?

I’m not busting on your new pistol, just asking questions. I was just expecting something different. Still a very nice piece.

Yeah, the manufacturers can throw the word "compact" around any way they choose.
The OPs gun is called by the manufacturer a P10 C, for compact. To my knowledge CZ has not introduced their P-10 full size yet.

There is no industry standard for a "compact" handgun. Glock calls the 15-round Model 19 a compact. Walther calls their 10-round P99 a compact. The FNS and S&W M&P are both available in smaller 12-round versions of their full sized models and their makers call them compacts. No industry standard or even industry understanding for the word.

I don't consider any 15-round handgun a compact, but that's just my opinion. Other people's own opinion on the subject is as good as mine, but not one bit better.

I wanted to make sure you were aware of the potential issue before you used the firearm to protect your family or yourself. But if its just a range gun no worries!
I see that you wrote many words to justify your purchase.

However the thing that I noticed is this- the person you are describing in your justification essay is YOU. Glock has had millions of people (including you- thank you for that, much respect!) using and field testing "in uniform" (to use your words) in real world- combat situations You have prioritized your hand being pampered for 30 minutes on a Sunday over 3+ decades of real world proving. As I said, that is a sound strategy for a range gun. I have no problems with the competition in the firearms industry, its the only thing that will drive it forward. However every 2 months a new polymer "king" or "Glock killer" comes out and internet commandos (to use your words) throw these terms out after a few Sunday's at the range because their hands feel a little more pampered afterwards. I do appreciate you beta testing these new products for us, but lets re-discuss who the "king" is in 2051.

The king has and always will John Browning and Colt 1911 .45 ACP. Sure Gaston Glock made an innovative pistol called the Glock, however, let us not forget that the firing mechanism (striker fire) was stolen or better said borrowed from Steyer arms in which Glock is still paying Steyer for. Also, I never mention or referred to a “Glock killer, polymer king” etc. I did however, said that Glock needs to re-think its engineering strategy and be more innovative because the competition is catching up~

Glock as well as many other manufacturers will have their fans and loyal customers, nothing wrong with that. Glock is a fine pistol, but others firearms are just made better and that’s a proven fact. You can’t be innovative with the same design and platform for the past 30 years. Some improvements have been made but not drastic enough to make a huge difference. Most people that purchase a Glock will try to modify it in some shape or form, whether a trigger bar, new trigger assembly, stippling, new barrel, trigger guard undercut, etc

When you know that the striker is turning (or after you figure out that the striker is turning) out of position, why would you keep racking the slide, slamming the out of alignment striker, into...well, anything? It would be easier, faster and less damaging to move the striker back into position, like he eventually shows to do.
Of course, that assumes that you would continue to fire (I wouldn't)an obviously malfunctioning weapon. Or, pistol for those of you who think weapon is a dangerous sounding word. Don't laugh, I know some people like that...

The same thought crossed my mind. I was wondering if they may have stripped the gun for their after market finish job and may have messed up reassembly.

Thanks for posting this video. Sure does call into question the reliability of this CZ pistol. Any pistol graded as "Unshootable" and fails a simple water test is never going to be on my wish list. Of course the coating process the gun had could have caused these problems so I would want to see a totally unmodified CZ tested.

That was one of my next 3 before deciding to purchase my Gen5 19. It was between that, the CZ, and the M2.0 compact. I had many M&P Pistols and wanted a little change, so it left the CZ and the Glock. The Glock won me over ultimately. I do still plan on picking up the CZ in the future however. Just didn't make this budget.

Congratulations on your new CZ.

I love my full size Glock 9mm platform. I have several G17's and G34's that I really enjoy for range work, CCW and home defense. They truly are my favorite of the Glock line.

I have owned several of the compact and subcompact Glocks but have never been able to like them as much as the full size version. (Side note...a G17 is "Commander" size in my mind so it is already smaller than the Government model 1911 I carried in years gone past)

I just recently purchased another (used) G19 gen4 thinking I would like it better for CCW. But that lasted till my first range trip and I was again reminded why I don't like them. Fortunately since it's a Glock i sold it for what I paid for it

Like someone mentioned I am so heavily invested in Glock 9mm I do not see me changing my full size handguns any time soon.

But I am adding a HK P30sk LEM 1 version for when I want to carry AIWB and want the security of riding a hammer when I go to reholster.

Glocks are great, but not perfect handguns. If I was buying my first striker fired handgun today I would be looking hard at the HK VP9 or maybe the S&W 2.0. But neither of those offer any real advantages to me in a full size handgun at this point in my shooting life.

We have lots of really good choices and for that we should all be thankful.

I recently decided to add CZ P07 to my pistol collection. Out of the box it is an excellent pistol from all angles. Only mods are the addition of talon rubber grips and trijicon night sights. I like the trigger which is much better than Glock 19 gen 4. I am going to DA/SA hammer pistols with a couple of exceptions.
