The CZ Scorpion is all sexy and modern, but I consider it to be too large a platform for a 9mm "pistol."
I find both large form pistols and rifles chambered in pistol calibers to be infinitely boring.
I've learned that if I were going to own such a large platform pistol, that it would be chambered in a rifle caliber, i.e., my CZ 805 BREN S1 in 5.56x45 or Zastava M92 in 7.62x39 (I've stayed away from the AR's after becoming completely bored with the platform after owning a dozen, they're just blasé). Both are nearly as accurate as their rifle bretheren at ranges approaching 100 yards, they're easy to shoot, use common, easily obtainable, and inexpensive magazines, don't cost an arm and a leg to feed, and their ballistics compared to the 9mm(?); well, there is no comparison
The above is only my opinion, so please don't get all exciterated over it!
I have the CZ SP 01 Tactical, and love it, great gun all around, fun to shoot totally accurate and the added weight really tames recoil over a lot of the striker fired guns out there including all of mine..
Have any of you looked at the CZ "Elite Series" weapons? They have several firearms based loosely off of 1911 frames with double stack magazines, adjustable night sites, basically EVERYTHING you could possibly want in a gun. THEY ARE NOT CHEAP!! $4000
I totally understand where he's coming from. If I only could own one gun, the Ruger SR9C would be my choice because, for me, it is perfect, (in my opinion). Size in my hand, concealability, 10 + 1 or 17 + 1, although I wouldn't be sad if there was a 33 round mag but, it is what it is, and it has a nice trigger. I know this is a Glock forum and a CZ post but I'm agreeing that 1 gun is doable. Obviously, not everyone wants just 1 gun from 1 brand, there are probably some out there who'd be happy with just 1 Glock or every single Glock ever made but most wouldn't, at least I wouldn't.
Does this CZ based gun have decent reliability?! I have heard everything from good to bad about Tanfoglio, and I was considering a 10mm but backed away.....
I have owned the SP01 for a while and Just last week added the 2075 Rami in 9MM. It will soon go into my carry rotation. I went with the safety version rather than the decocker. Had it at the range yesterday and it is a tack driver.
Not that there's anything wrong with the safety version, but I've been trying to locate the decocker version of the CZ 2075 Rami myself but have been totally unsuccessful, and I certainly don't want the polymer frame version, so I wait
They appear to be very solid and easily concealable pistols, and I prefer all metal whenever possible. Could you comment on it's fit & finish, and if at all possible MNBud could you please post up some pics of it when you get the chance, as seeing and reading about certain firearms always seems to help push me off the fence towards owning one ...thanks!
I have had a number of CZ's over the years, always great guns that run and shoot well. My current favorite is a CZ 85 Combat with a trigger job, CZ Competition sights and aluminum thin grips. Not too light and not too heavy.

Check DEGuns.net they have 57 of the decocker models in stock. If you are looking at the safety model I would recommen gunsmidwest. I'll try to get some pictures up.
I like the Orange. It has a light SA trigger. Heavy gun that weighs ~3lbs unloaded means negligible recoil. Slide rails come all polished up, fit is very nice and tight. My only complaint is that the safety feels fairly flush with the frame, but would be improved with a CZ Custom enlarged safety. Sights are nice and adjustable, but I think I would prefer the counter sunk Dawson Precision front, IMO. It's a decent amount of pistol for the money.
TBH, I shoot the CZC 75 Shadow more. Very nice and smooth DA/SA trigger. Larger CZC safety. I put the basic, inexpensive, round rubber CZ grips on the Shadow and they're EXTREMELY comfortable. Not flat like aluminum, great grip, they feel great. But they're not very attractive. The 75 Shadow is one of my absolute favorites.
The grips are made by cool hand, they were advertised as brown but they have a bit of green tint to them (which I think is pretty cool). I like them better than the palm swell stockers. I carry it in a leather pancake style holster made to fit a G19. It's not over boned so it fits the CZ very well. Many folks believe the PCR makes a better carry pistol since it's lighter but, I have no problem carrying my steel C. My kids have all been shooting my compacts since they were about 7 or 8 and they love them.

Thanks for the info Quijibo! Your kid's got a steady hand!
