Anyone using a Milt Sparks Criterion?

Want something else besides my VM2 for my G26 and G43.

Feedback or thoughts would be appreciated!

I think that those who are either unsure or unhappy about fitment of their holsters should call Milt Sparks and talk to a representative about their concerns. The staff at milt sparks don't just make holsters but actually use their products on a daily basis.

A few of them do Competitions but all are serious students and practitioners of CCW.

Anyway, I called and talked to Nick about some of the concerns the Criterion owners had posted in this thread about loose fitting between gun and holster.

Nick said that if people are really concerned about loose fit, they can squeeze the mouth in a bit until they get the level of retention they prefer.

However, Nick also said that the Criterion isn't meant to be fitted tight against the gun with just the gun and holster, and that it's best to judge the retention when the holster is worn.

He also said that he had done ground fighting training while wearing this and other holsters and the guns didn't fall out. He emphasized that he used the blue guns for these trainings. He mentioned that he did kart wheels for his daughter and the real gun didn't fall out.

Anyway, I've learned more about CCW from Nick and Jim than I've learned at many shooting classes.

Prospective customers are welcome to call and talk to a live person at the shop on which holster and mag pouch best fit their needs too.

And I asked Nick about the whole eBay ban thing. He laughed and said that they don't care about someone selling their used or new holsters and/or trying to make a buck or two. However when these people order bulk with the intention of making a buck, they a) undermine Milt Sparks stocking dealers, and b) drive out the holster delivery process for the rest of the customers.

I have made orders for multiple holsters before and I'm still here doing business with them. No bans or suspicion of eBay resell.

So, if people don't like their eBay policy or wait time then there are plenty of other saddlers available to buy from.

Another little known fact is that Milt Sparks is literally a custom holster maker. They make their holsters using blue guns BUT if a customer were to want to send their guns in for a true fit, that's an option.

They did it for my SIG P210.

Yeah, I'm a fanboy.

Wait time depends on the time of the year. However usually it's three to four months wait depending on the models.

Some models all of their craftsmen can do. Some models only their senior craftsmen are allowed to do.

Some popular models for really popular guns like Glocks and 1911s are probably stocked at their stocking dealers like Heirloom Precision, Allan Yoast Firearms, Top Gun Supply.

For example, right now TopGunSupply.com has the VM2 for G27. In black only.

PS. I went the Galco, Bianchi, De Santis, Gould & Goodrich route. I also tried local craftsmen route. They all offer serviceable holsters. But Milt Sparks offers superior holsters.

There's a reason why Milt Sparks, Kramer, Rosen, Del Fatti, Andy Artoonian have months long wait.

And of you don't get crazy on the exotic leather trims, it's not much more expensive than a Galco or Bianchi.
