Hmmmmmmm so i have a budget this month and was going to get a glock 43 to carry... But then i see this unicorn Glock 19 Gen 3 I had once but sold it... Now Im scratching my head cause i never see these and thinking should i buy this and get the 43 later....

This is the Glock 19 that was imported here in a limited amount due to the shortage of glock 19's and was never intended to be sold in the U.S. when Obama became president... Made in Austria Glock Ges.m.b.h with proof marks on the frame slide and barrel... Never has the Ges.m.b.h and says Smyrna Georgia... So basically this is what a true Austrian glock looks like with Markings not for U.S. And has the frying pan finish... Hmmmmmmmmmm buy or pass...

Congrats! You made me look! I bought my G19 back in January 2009 and felt lucky to find it. I see mine is the normal Smyrna version, but it does have the frying pan finish, just like the G21 I bought several months later.

I think the decathlete of the Glock lineup is the 19, and the 43 is more focused on just one thing, concealment. Therefore of the two, I bought my 19 first. Once I had a surfeit of full size and compact/mid-size pistols, I bought sub-compact/pocket pistols like the 43.

This is my 19, made in Austria but definitely made for the US market (“Glock Inc. Smyrna GA”)

How is this pistol different from other Gen3 19s manufactured in Austria for non-US markets?
