...at local range and for the first time, actually liked it. I don't remember the pre 2.0 trigger being as good, no grit, clean, crisp break. Reset wasn't very audible but I liked it. I kind of did away with small guns but may change my mind with this one, a Shield 2.0 with no safety.

So when it comes to the Shield, I am not off then. I never owned a 1.0 but shot a range Shield several times, I just never liked it and it certainly doesn't make me an expert on the Shield. But this 2.0, I like the trigger. Same with M&P, had some 1.0 versions, sold them. But I love my new 2.0 Compact, perfect size, good trigger, makes me want more 2.0's in different sizes.

My LGS has that M&P 9 in FDE, great looking gun! I don't like the safety but otherwise, awesome, so congrats. I have a Glock Gen 5 G19 as well, another gun I really like but I am a fanboy. I didn't think I would like it because the front mag cut out would snag my pinky but hasn't been an issue.

Nice report bunk. I had the 1.0 and had to install the Apex Hard Tactical sear to smooth up the trigger. I have the Shield 45 and that trigger is better than the 1.0 9mm. It's why I kept the 45 and sold the 9mm. I wouldn't be surprised if the Shield 45 actually is a 2.0 and then S&W released the 9mm version after getting feedback from the 45.

I have a 1st gen 9mm Shield. Really wanted to like it because I love the 45 Shield, but just couldn't warm up to it. I'll probably end up selling it.

If the M2.0 9/40 Shields are more like the 45, I may pick up a 40 and drop a 357 barrel in it.

Probably wait a while though until prices come down a bit. The prices I've seen so far on the M2.0 models seem kinda high for a Shield.
