Well hello everyone....been on here for a little while and have been not very active ....well as things happen in life....i recently decided to thin the herd down and wanted a very good dependable carry gun and decided on a Glock 27 gen 4.....i was able to find a like new less then 50 rounds thru it and with 4 mags and loader ... three or four pearce entensions and night sights i am told ...and for less than 420.00 shipped ...did i do ok?
I have been carrying revolvers most if my life till recently i had been.carrying a kahr Mk40 elite 03 which i loved....but was a little thin in my giant hands....this 27 feels very good to me and i think it will be a pleasure to shoot as well...and i know the pearce will make it feel better and with my galco ankle glove and summer comfort holsters it will be a pleasure to carry as well.......one thing for some odd reason it is missing the original box and paperwork.....can i contact glock and get these from them?
I will post pics once i receive it next week....thanks in advance...excited how this will work out...God Bless,John
Well thank u...i honestly never even handled a 27 till a fee years ago a good friend bought a new gen 4 and he told me how much he loved it and when Gander was closing near me and i was there...they had a 26 and it felt really good in my hand....and this one....i totally fell into it....total impulse buy....knew if i did not buy it....it would not be there tomorrow at that price...new ones here go for 599.99 to 649.99 depending on shop....thank u for the kind words...God Bless,John
Hey almost forgot this....as i have never ran into this...what is my mag size limit for NY state?
My new gun has three 10 rd mags and one 9rd mag....can i still use all of these or do i need to trade the 10rd or 9rd?
Thanks in advance
God Bless,John
Never had this problem before
Well thank ....i am told the gen 4 is a good one to get and should hold up well....i hope....it will be my edc as well....down to just two now....my german built p220 with nill grips and this g27 ...very excited to see how accurate it is too...hey i heard a rumor u can also get a 357 sig barrel for these and use the 40 mags....
Well to be honest....i love the 40 cal...very comfortable to shoot and like it better than 9 for stopping power but great to have options too...thank u for the great info....truly appreciate it...God Bless,John
Really was a little unsure when.i bought this....but now very psyched...
Well thank u....i was hoping glock.would be able to get me the missing parts ....hey what does everyone think about the sights?
Anything better out there that is just like these but in metal?
I love the u shape...
Congrats! Great choice and my EDC. I swapped barrels and put in the Glock 33 barrel and now carry that in 357 sig because it shoots like a laser. Carry it in health and safety!
Good price. 'Like new' Gen4s (especially in .40) are all over the place at great prices right now. Got my last at the LGS for $399 OTD, still with copper grease packed in the slide.
well here is seller pics...i talked with them today and this was a LE trade in...was a top officers gun and low round count as it was only used very little...
Hey i totally agree for carry the extensions are not for me....love them at the range ....but hey they were included....i will have to find one of those plugs for the bottom i am told they are a must....
well i am told they are just the pearce ones...not adding any capacity....
thank u ....they put great pics to show everything in ad....one of the main reasons i bought it...God Bless,John
hey which one of these frame plugs is the one to get?....i can not seem to find any threads about it....i see some with screws...some with just push fit...i would think it would need a tab to keep it from falling out....God Bless,John
i see there is many bad reviews with these too.....i am hoping everyone here can advise me to get the best one out there....
Those plugs just snap in and stay put. The ones with screws are made of metal to add weight. I have the standard polymer ones in my G20SF and one in my G23. My gunsmith added them to both guns after he did trigger jobs. He seemed to think they were necessary to keep dirt out of the mechanism.
The only bad thing I've ever heard about them is if your gun becomes submerged in water the water will not drain out as fast with the plug. The reason for that empty space was originally for when they had the front mag cut out so you could grip a magazine that wasn't drop-free or even a drop-free mag if it somehow got stuck and grip the mag front and rear.

It's good to have the 9mm barrel for practicing with cheaper ammo. 357 Sig is a fun option but produces a little too much muzzle blast for my liking.
I'm also a big fan of the 40 S&W. it's a lot closer ballistically to the 10 and the 45 than it is to the 9 and yet it can be had in the same size gun as a 9mm.
I have a Glock 23 and I can tell no difference in recoil between the 9 and the 40 in that size gun.
I like the Hornady 175 grain critical duty ammo in mine but the 180 grain HST and 165 grain Gold dot ammo is also very good.
Maybe you should buy a bunch of them and sell them for $420 shipped.
