You’ve made several posts regarding your involvement in LE on these boards in the past few weeks.
I happened to stumble upon these posts along with other members.

You’re welcome to PM proof of your claims to RussP.

I will reiterate we should have a verification system in place for those who claim to be LE, especially on a firearms board.

I could just never get people who pose as cops when they aren't (even though I have arrested a couple of them, but they were creeps or robbers, and it was just a means to an end, the posing) if your life sucks and you want to pose, at least make it something really interesting, like a porn star or an astronaut or a roadie for Beyonce....

Hell, a lot of us take pains to hide our profession from people we don't know.... If someone I don't really know asks, I often tell them that I drive a garbage truck , picking up trash in a bad neighborhood....nobody ever has a second question after that.

I have taken to telling people that I do "other duties as assigned. I have learned the bold title at the top of my job description is no where near what I actually do.

Yeah I have a plaque somewhere. But as for my old badges, nope. “You resigned so you don’t get them.” I do have my old ID card used during the DNC I guess.
Wow, that's a dick move on their part.

I resigned as well, but they still put my shirt badge on a plaque and let me keep my wallet badge and my ID card (I had a good boss) plus they gave me a honorably separated (under ten years doesn't get retired wording).

Agreed!

When I left my last agency for my new agency I wrote a retirement/resignation letter since I had more than 10 years in law-enforcement at the time and was eligible under our state retirement system to collect benefits (vested in 6.)

The chief issued me a retired ID card saying if I left the new agency before their “retirement“ time frame he didn’t want me to be without LEOSA credentials.

March of 2018 will be 20 years. If my current assignment does not change, I’m going to do another 15 And be done at 55.

Since I retired from one of the larger departments in New Mexico 11 years ago, I have worked private security in both upstate New York and Arizona, But now I'm fully retired and living near my middle daughter and grandkids in Michigan. For years I carried under LEOSA qualifying in either AZ or NM, now that I live in Michigan, it's just simpler to have a Michigan CCL. Yearly quals was a pain. My avatar in a picture of me and my wife at the July 4th parade, 1998 when I was a Patrol Sergeant. I use the same pic on several sights.

Michigan has a procedure so you don't have to leave the state. If you're interested I'll get a link for you.
