What barrel to use for this conversion?

I am considering getting a Alpha Wolf 9mm conversion barrel for my G27-Gen3. I do not really care for a shiny barrel, KKM seems to not give a choice. I went back 12 pages searching, no luck. For some reason the search function did not pull anything up either, I find that hard to believe...

My questions are:
1) Who here has used a Alpha Wolf or KKM conversion?
2) What are your thoughts?
3) L.W. does not give dimensions on their site, how much longer is the barrel than a stock G27 barrel? I know it says it can be used in a 27 and 33, just no idea how far it will stick out from the slide...

Thanks for the help.

I have used several LoneWolf barrels. Have some KKM too. Like the Black AlphaWolf with one of the LoneWolf stainless slides... Looks Sharp, and I use front serrations when they are available too! Both manufacturers provide quality equipment, hard to tell the difference from Alpha Wolf to KKM barrels, they are both accurate.

Picked up a black AlphaWolf .357Sig barrel last year for my G27. It's running well now, but did take some time to break in. Match Tolerances can require some break in time. Slide would lock back requiring a smack of the hand to run the slide home. About 70 rounds into it, the pistol just started running! Need to get an accuracy check on it now that it's running, the put it through the paces of some USPSA. Glock 27 should be a fun "Limited 10" pistol, and .357Sig will make major! :)

As far as how far does the barrel stick out? Seems stock length to me, I don't notice a any length difference with this barrel, it's not even something I thought about, and looks fine.

If you aren't into shiny barrels, go the the black Alpha Wolf barrels. May take some break in, but keep in mind the LoneWolf slide and Alpha Wolf barrel on my G27 are "match grade" with tight tolerances. Using the Alpha Wolf conversion barrel in a Glock slide may run quite a bit better.

I did contact LoneWolf regarding the AlphaWolf barrel sticking. They said they would take it back, but it would be better to shoot through it to get it broken in...

I experienced this once with a Springfield 1911-A1 - similar pattern, slide stuck back, heel of hand to slide, fire, repeat... and suddenly it just took off running and was seriously accurate! Surgical Even!!!

So... That is my advice!

Happy shopping!
