I ran into a NWO Glock at a local gun store, and I was hoping some of you might be able to answer a few questions.
How many were made?
It has the box and paperwork and extra mag. How much would you say a fair price would be on this one?
I have tried to find some real world prices, and can find nothing.

From what I could find out, it seems that only 1000 were made. Don't have any idea what it would be worth...

If you're willing to pay $1000, make sure you start your bid at $900. You can then go up, he can come down, and you both meet at $1000, unless he's really fixed at $1100 or nothing...

It's a very neat gun w substantial upside potential IMHO.
The first Glock Commemorative.
The most engraving of any Glock Commemorative.
I think that any buyer today for the current market rate will be a very happy collector tomorrow.

I have thought about this all afternoon, and I think I am going to pass this one on to a true Glock collector. I hope someone will PM me and let me know if you got the gun. I have too many guns on my "must have" list and that Glock is not one of them. I am sure it will be a good investment for someone. Here is the name and address of the gun store that has it in stock:

Jay's Sporting Goods
Clare, MI

This is not a mom and pop store. They are one of the biggest in Michigan--besides maybe Gander mountain. I have bought many guns from the store. You will have to ask to speak to someone in the firearms section, and then ask for information on the "Desert Storm" glock in the used gun section. I also know they do layaway, so if you trust them, you can put 10 percent down and then you have a year to pay it off. I don't know how much they charge to ship guns, but I'm sure it is not much.

Someone will have to let me know if they got it.
All the best

Very cool of you to take the time and to make the effort to assist another GT member in acquiring this fantastic Glock. It's folks like you which make this forum great.

I have a couple of guns that I feel only deserve to be in the collections of a select few people. One of those is a pre-war Belgian Hipower that is slotted and has a tangent rear sight. It would break my heart if that was just a gun in someone's collection--it needs some love!

I think that Glock deserves a good home! I might regret in in a few years when they sell for 3000 dollars plus a piece, but for right now, I would be happy if it went to one of you!
(plus, I have had my heart set on a really nice VIS 35 Polish Radom and can't afford the Glock and that gun--so maybe I have selfish reasons as well!)

If anyone has a really nice Radom, I would appreciate a heads up.

I have already met a bunch of very nice and knowledgeable people on this website. I am a student of the gun, and appreciate all the "head stock" I can get for free!

I did take a little guff for suggesting the 1911 is a hard platform to shoot unless the gun is above par, but I should have expected that. Lot's of folks are passionate about 1911s. I know I am.

Have a good night everyone!

I totally agree re: the 1911. I shot bowling pin competitions for a few years w/a Wilson SuperGrade. A wealthy girlfriend bought it for me - about $5K at a time when I didn't have much money. Bill Wilson can really build a 1911!!! That SuperGrade is a work of art. It's the nicest 1911 that I've ever seen - and I've seen and shot a lot of them.

She actually also bought me a Wilson Tactical Elite and a real deal, HK catalog HK/KAC OHG suppressor for my HK MK 23 which KAC serial numbered to my gun. I still have the can and the gun 100% NIB. Nice girlfriend!!

For those who have not seen one of these I'll post some pics. I was extremely fortunate to be able to acquire one which is truly 100% NIB w/all docs and accessories. Here are some pics. Sorry that the lighting is not the best....

I love having SN 762!! What could be more fitting besides, perhaps, 556?

Note that it was $620 at Walmart in 1992. This is significantly higher than a standard Glock was at the time - esp. at Walmart. With all of the engraving I'm sure that the production costs were amongst the most of any Glock.

I think that these are just awesome Glocks.

Thanks!!

I think that all Glock collectors should go after one of these. There are few Glocks w/more upside potential IMHO. They are just great to own and to look at. Fantastic collector pieces.

I think good deal is an understatement. I have one already, but seeing the prices being around $950-$1100, I'm thinking about getting a second. Six months ago, you wouldn't see one selling for less than $1,500 and some were asking for around $2000.

I have seen these sell at $1500 and $2000 within the last year.
I haven't seen them sell for quite that high honestly. I've got one that I bought within the past year and paid $895 shipped for it. Possibly folks are asking that much and not getting. I've turned down one other at $1000 face to face. I am a gun dealer so occasionally I get a look at cool stuff. I probably should have bought the $1000 gun as well.
