Why we carry at church

I sure don't have a problem with anyone carrying in church, but to "constantly visually scan" looking for problems seem to be over the top. Of course I'm not accustomed to attending a church in a troubled area, and maybe I'm stepping over a line here. I seriously think if I was so insecure being in a church, it would be time to find another church. Under no circumstance would I be comfortable and in a mood to meditate in this environment. Basically, you are saying that a the church requires armed guards. Thanks, but not thanks.

ANY church is at risk. Those that minister to troubled people even more so.

Nehemiah 4:9 But we prayed to our God and posted a guard

Edit: I don't have a problem with people that place all their faith in God to provide for their safety. But I feel called to protect the people I love, which is the entire congregation of our small church. Maybe that is part of God's plan.

Regards,
Happyguy :)

You are indeed tenacious, but I never saw anyone searching so hard for an argument with someone that did nothing but say that I wouldn't be comfortable if I have to be armed and vigilant in church. I didn't have a problem with carrying in church, but if you need to carry to go to church that's a problem to me. Look, you go to your church armed to the hilt, post your guards at the doors, maintain vigilance constantly, and pray you never have to meet me. Perhaps we both would be happy. I'm sorry but I don't have the time to maintain this rather childish discourse, and I have even less desire. THE END!

Whatever. I have learned to take your posts with a grain of salt after I read the post of you drawing down on a barking dog inside Of a vehicle.

Good luck, however you intend to go.

It was a snarling pit bull with his head outside of the car window. And I don't think that I drew my G17.

Does your brain injury cause you to forget laws and warnings and to make poor decisions or is it an excuse to do what you want to do? Just curious because the one would indicate a strong probability of qualifying as a prohibited person while the other would be very typical of the rationale used by many criminals.
I genuinely don't remember anyone at my church telling me that guns aren't allowed there.
