I found this article on The Firearm Blog and found it interesting. This article also lays out a solid rationale NOT to modify your Glock with 3rd party internal parts.
As an avid shooter and hunter for 40+ years, I don't consider myself a "professional" but the simple adherence to the principles of firearms safety (these basic principles NEVER change and they never will) have kept me accident/negligent-free.
ALL safeties can be overcome. Ever see a revolver with a safety? I haven't short of pot-metal rimfire imports that you can count on two fingers.
How difficult is it for people to NOT PLACE THEIR FINGER ON THE TRIGGER UNTIL THEY ARE READY TO SHOOT??????????
If you have to remind someone (ANYONE) of this obvious fact, they have no business owning any type of firearm or probably even a driver's license..........
While I mostly agree with the author, Glocks are also some of the most highly customizable pistols on the market. If someone wants to modify it to suit their needs, who cares what I or someone else thinks? It's THEIRS!
I agree as well. However, if they are OEM parts from the Glock factory and they are designed for my model and Gen. I wount have no problem. As the manufacturer manufactured the parts!
Really simple way to never have an accidental or negligent discharge with a Glock. Follow the 10 Commandments of firearm safety.
