I think I have an incorrect spelling (do not want to exit and look it up). In any case which one should I use when inserting new sights? And what is the best way to break the seal on the old sights?
Do not use red. A very small dab of blue will do the trick. Depending on what material your old sights are plastic or steel will determine which is the easiest and better way way to go with minimal damage to them.
The only time I have had to use red loctite was on a poorly fitted rear sight. Blue loctite should work just fine in most cases. Assuming the sights you are removing are factory, they should remove easily enough with a sight pusher tool.
Definitely red - 262, unless you are just checking the height of a front, or something like that. I've never had any problem removing 262. A soldering iron works fine.
