Just curious...

With the G26 and G43 out there, how many of you choose to carry a G19 and why?

Follow-up question: How do you conceal it?

Not a G19, but a G23. I like .40. Why because my G22 is a little harder to conceal and a rifle is pretty much out of the question, even though preferred. Firepower is like money in the bank, the more the better.
I carry in one of these, http://www.tactipac.com/fusionpac-iwb-concealed-carry-holster/, and can go from 26 to 23 to 22 without any fanfare. very comfortable.

G23 ditto, same reason! My holster is a NateSquared (N82) original IWB style (one hook), very comfortable for all-day. I bought it for $30, now they are $40, but guaranteed for life. They reminded me of that at their booth at the USCCA show this month; all I have to do is send it in and they will send me a new one (mine is getting frayed after 3-1/2 years of EDC).

Up until just recently I carried my G19 IWB every day.
It conceals just fine and is quite comfortable to carry for me.

I like how you think Keith, I too prefer a G-23 in .40, but mostly carry EDC a G-27. The reason being I also have a G-19/26/43, which all have there place(s), but the twelve rounds I can get in my 27 with (+) mag bottom, and fourteen in my G-23 with a standard magazine, just makes more sense to me.

In 9mm you can get seven rounds out of the G-43, twelve in the G-26 with (+) bottom, and sixteen with a standard G19 magazine.

Thanks for all the replies.

Why I'm asking....

I want a firearm that can be both home protection and concealed carry. I didn't want a bunch of "just go with the G26 and be done with it" responses which is why I asked the question the way I did. I'd like the bigger G19 but am leary of CC with it. I live in Texas, so shorts and t-shirts are usually the norm.

Come down to Cedar Creek Lake. About an hour or so from you. I have a 26, a 23, and 19 magazines with grip extensions for the 26 that you can try out. When I carry the 26, that is how I carry it. I don't like the short grip even with the pinky extension.
I carry the 23 all but a very few days a year now. every day no matter the dress. The holster I use makes a difference.

I carry either my glock 19 or 17 every day. Lately I have been carrying the 17 almost exclusively. I like how it feels in my hand and I have the most confidence with it. I find it pretty easy to conceal iwb. I also carry while at home too, so I'm just used to it.

I have smaller guns for when I just can't conceal something bigger. But if I have to use it I would much rather have a 19 or 17.

Glad this topic has come up... I have a 19, but have since turned it into the range queen as i find myself carrying the super stealthy xds 3.3

If i were to give the 19 a shot... what are some appendix holster options that really conceal well... down here in south florida a mere t shirt is all the cover ill have over the grip...

I carry a 19 about 7% of the time. Mostly carry it because its fun, and its a "real" service pistol size for good capacity and ease of putting a round on the target. I keep another 19 plus a 17 mag in my Man Sack, which I take to church. I generally don't like off-body carry, but I do it in this limited circumstance. Size and weight constraints usually push me down to a 42 or SIG P320 Subcompact or Kahr PM9, but on occasion I carry a 19 or similar-sized gun just because it makes me feel good.

When I EDC the 19, it rides in a $43 (shipping included) Alien Gear OWB under a t-shirt. Yeah, it prints, but I work at home where no one sees me, and I don't care if I do print outside the house. No one's bidness if I print, and no one is looking at me anyway. My phone and beer belly are printing way more than the 19.

Same size but a Glock 32 (Or a HK USPc 357 sig) in a Stealth Gear Apendix IWB most of the time.

Otherwise a Glock 19 for quick trips out and about in a kydex holster because it's easier to take the holster on and off but does not provide me with all day comfort compared to the Stealthgear.

The 19 and 32 have XC1 lights mounted to them.

Why, the size is about my max comfort size when sitting down or driving and they take the full sized 17 and 31 mags which I carry as a spare or in winter I carry the 19 or 32 with a X-Grip for a full sized mag and another full sized mag as a spare..
