Was able to get a set of these sights. Inventor received patent about a year ago. Can only be purchased from inventor. Websites: http://cqbsrs.com and here http://cqbsrs.com/cqb-srs-design-concept-and-operation

CQB-SRS translates Close Quarter Battle - Skeletonized Rear Sight.

After range testing, I now have these on my G17, G17-22, G19, G21, G30sf, and G43 - my EDC. Had to reduce width 4mm for G43. I pocket carry and these are snag-free, low profile, and durable, not bulky or distracting like some. Tritium night sight lamps front and rear. Can be purchased as a set or separately. According to the inventor, these are available for Glocks only. Sights for other brands possibly later.

I own about 50 handguns and visit my local range a couple times a week. These are the best defense type handgun sights I've ever used.

Most people join forums and ask questions rather than immediately start recommending new-fangled gear of one sort or another.

You may not be the "inventor", but look at it this way:

1. New member immediately starts promoting an expensive piece of gear (for sights) no one has ever heard of.
2. New member has an avatar that is the exact same image as from the website of the sights he his recommending.

So, sorry to offend thee, but with many years on this and other, similar, forums, the above is representative of past patterns I have seen.

However, I'm not the Glocktalk police, so whatever. If the inventor wants to send a set to me to T&E for my blog, where I'll put them on one of my pistols and then compare accuracy using the shot timer, he's more than welcome to PM me.

My original intent was to respond to a question regarding the Snake Eyes and Ghost sights. I was trying to present this as a alternative and one that I think is better. I was doing so because "no one has ever heard of" them, as you said. I have them, I like them, and I thought the info might be helpful. Again, I have no other motive or hope of gain. I used the avatar because I have not learned how to add pictures with my posts. You can contact the inventor and ask him if he wants you to test the sights. His contact info is on his site. I don't know why you would, though. You have already determined that they will "catch on everything and poke me (you) when holstered."

You're both in Florida too, so maybe an acquaintance?

I don't actually know what the problem is. First of all, we are not both in Florida. As far as acquaintance is concerned, what's the point? I simply presented a possible alternative for a Glock accessory, one I believe has merit. I have not posted one word of untruth in my posts. I have no business connection to the inventor, whatsoever. I have presented a first hand testimonial for a product which I own and use. I might add, I'm the only one in this thread who knows anything about this sight. If I have violated some site rule direct me to it and I will make the appropriate correction. If not, I'll assume there's very little reason to continue this line of communication.

So you're not in Florida? What about your post "hello from the treasure coast of Florida"?

The contact info on the cqbsrs.com website has a Florida number, and the US Patent for those sites is from Florida (Vero Beach).

Soooo, who's not in Florida?

Lol

Where did you get the sights from?

The contact info for the company of the sights is a Florida number, and the patent info for those sights are registered with a Florida address.

So, when I asked if you and the company selling the sights were acquaintances because you are both in Florida, you replied that you were not both in Florida.

I personally could care less who/what/when/where about the sights and just wondered if you knew the person who created them.

Ah, seems like more weapons pogey bait. Note that in the Swat magazine review, Bob Pilgrim notes that these sights were neither faster nor slower than regular sights. He did say they "looked cool", though.
No thanks.

I looked at the limited pics and I don't know ... I don't quite get the concept.

You're the first person here to show any curiosity about the sights. There is a valid concept which lead to the design, but I'm sorry I can't discuss them with you. I just stated that I would avoid sights and optics and keep my opinions to myself. Thanks for asking, though.

They look like they'd be good for catching your belt for a one-handed slide rack.

I'll stick with Trijis and Mepros.

I am hoping that Navy1964 is not Constantine Golovaty.

Off the US Patent website (BTW he just is including a standard Trijicon front sight, the patent is just for the rear).

My rear sights are also marked Trijicon. Of course I'm not allowed to post a picture without making someone angry. And, by the way, I'm not Constantine. He's the inventor, I'm a customer. Probably his first. Bought my first set at retail, received one set as a gift from a friend in Chattanooga, received a set from Constantine as reimbursement for ammo spent letting people test the sights with my guns and ammo. Bought three more sets at retail. I'm amazed that all you "gun experts" have no interest in anything new.

I am not the inventor/patent holder, have no financial interest, no prospects and no desire.
You're new here. You're pushing a new product. Your avatar is an image ripped from that product's web site. It's not a huge leap to assume you might have some connection with that product.

The product itself (well, its presentation on the manufacturer's web site) is kind of confusing. 10 yards, 7 yards, longer distances, it's apparently good for all. Is it only faster for up to 10 yard targets? If not, why do they bother stating that number in the initial description? Why does the web site give no image from the shooter's perspective looking through the rear sight?

Some experienced shooters found the CQB-SRS aiming concept helped to tune out sight alignment issues they had with their standard three dot sight systems
That's not surprising. Three dot sights aren't good for any sort of precision/action pistol shooting. I can say from experience with multiple shooters, varying skill levels, getting rid of the dots common on many rear sights leads to faster hits on target. The rear dots are just a distraction.

During low/no light shooting, the two tritium dots should be superimposed together. If only one tritium sight is observed, that signals to the shooter the front sight is obscured due to the muzzle being depressed below the line of sight. The rear tritium vial will always been seen from the shooters perspective.
I think I misunderstood this the first time I read it. But I'm still confused.

For the most precise target engagement, the rear sight triangle should be superimposed over the front sight. From the shooter’s perspective, the triangle shape will be replaced by the front sight square post, with no part of the triangle shape visible.
For proper alignment, the rear sight triangle (which includes a tritium vial or may not...it's an option) should cover the front sight post? So, in low light, with proper sight alignment, how do you see the front sight if it's behind (obscured by) the rear sight triangle? Better pictures could have avoided this confusion.

$180 MSRP? Is that for the gold plated version?...or does nobody actually pay MSRP?

I am completely new to Glocks and to this forum. But as a seasoned shooter I am having issues figuring out what this sight does better than other sights. I have shot 3 dot, sights that are just black, fiber optic sights(my favorite).

And also being new to this site and a few others, it looks just like an advertisement that is giving very little information, photos of sights mounted on a firearm, and video of a shooter actually shooting with this sight. More info is needed.

I have six of my Glocks set up with this sight but talking about it here seems to cause some problem so I won't discuss it. Sorry.

More info on the website would be nice. All the things I mentioned above are things people want to see before purchasing the sight. I will make the observation that you can PM people information. That would go around the not posting anything huff that is apparent. Just thinking outside the box.

He already said he received one pair of complementary sights from the inventor in exchange for his testamonial. I'll bet this was a veiled attempt for more publicity and kick back.

Call a spade a spade. Like the people who crow about loving the Lehigh bullets.... while receiving free ammunition for testing and reviewing.

Don't be shady. Let the product stand on its own merits.

Otherwise: "Fake news."
