Best trigger for my 34

I have been shooting my 34 every weekend since I got it and I'm enjoying it. The trigger is actually pretty good. Better than I was expecting honestly.

I have however been looking at aftermarket triggers.

I've been looking into the Zev technologies ultimate trigger kit. Does anyone have experience with this kit, or better recommendations?

This pistol is solely a range gun. But there is no ruling it out as a home defense or possible carry gun since I like all my guns to be capable of anything if need be.

PM sciolist and ask him nicely to tell you how he sets up his G34.

You can search here and maybe see a few of his videos, his results are not because he knows how to set up his G34 trigger, but it clearly doesn't hurt.. :)

Setting up any machine is about defining specific objectives. No pistol trigger makes the gun any more accurate. Until you can understand specifically what you want to accomplish with the hardware, you are mostly just grasping at straws.

A better trigger can give you some insight into how to move forward on the software side, though. It can be kind of a horse first/cart first/horse first thing. But ultimately you have to learn how to use your own brain, vision and mechanics to get the gun to do what you want it to do.

So it looks like I have several options to look at.

To put the range gun thing into perspective, this one is the last in line for a possible personal defense gun. So there is a 99% chance this will never be carried or put by my bedside. Just like my single shot break action shotgun is last in line for home defense duty. I just like to add that in there since I still want it to be reliable just in case.

Currently have a glocktriggers.com Skimmer in my G34 and G35, it is quite good. I'm going to give their Vogel trigger a try in a new G19. I'm going to figure out if limited take up or limited overtravel works best for me. I also use their Guardian triggers too, like them as well.

The zev trigger is nice. However, I found out that installing a zev race connector and an apex safety plunger in my 34 gave me similar trigger feel for MUCH cheaper. Not saying I completely regret my decision to go with the ZEV kit, but for about $60 the connector and plunger work great.
