I went full circle (a very large circle, BTW) with the G19.
25 years ago, I bought my first Glock (G19). Since then, there has never been a time when I didn't own and carry a Glock. A few months ago, my daily carry became a G19, again.
In between, my daily carry became a G27 (hated it), then a G23 for about 15 years (absolutely loved it), then a G26 (loved it), G36 (really loved it), G30S (really loved it), and then I went back to a G19. Oh, I have a G20 for the woods, a G43 for deep concealment when it really matters, and I kept the G30S for when I need the best "compromise" pistol there is for me (for when I need one gun to perform all duties I ask of it - woods defense or survival hunting, street defense, ability to conceal very easily and capacity, of a round that is quite stout, too).
What gave me the biggest sh..-eating grin on my face was when I took my new-to-me used G19 to the range for the first time, and with the very first mag, put 15 rounds into one fairly small, ragged 1.5" hole at 7 yds. I have never done such on the first trip with any other Glock I have ever owned. There is something very comforting about having 15 rds of an adequate defensive caliber, with that kind of accuracy, on my hip.
G19's are an exceedingly fine carry gun.
