I bought an Anderson Manufacturing AM 15. New and 518 out the door. I thought it was a pretty good deal but I don't know anything about the manufacturer. Have any of you had dealings with this rifle and are they any good.
Those are typically questions you ask before purchasing. If there are any complaints about Anderson, it is usually about the QC on the finish. Other than that, most seem to think it is a solid rifle.
I agree with your opinion. However I field stripped the rifle and looked it over pretty good. I didn't see anything suspicious but found the trigger to be very gritty. I did a little smoothing on a couple of surfaces and it's as smooth as silk.
I was wondering if anyone had any problems with there rifle. Thanks.
One thing to note is that their claim to fame is the no-lube receivers because they have a special coating but I would definitely recommend using lube regardless of any "special" coating.

I agree with you 200 %, I just don't get it I see a lot of people bragging about not lubricating their rifle because of special coating and just think it is plain stupid. I'm not a mechanical engineer but last time I checked machines with moving parts need lubrication but maybe is just me.
Anderson is probably the most popular receiver maker by far. No frills but they work. I would assume their complete rifles are solid too. Excellent price.
I built an AR pistol with an Anderson lower and it has run suberbly. As stated, not the prettiest thing, but I am happy with the service so far.
