NY2 with "-" or aftermarket connector

I know everyone hates the NY2, I was just curious if anyone ever tried it with a lightened connector? I was thinking it might almost make the break disappear entirely due to the contrast.

I've read that the "-" will take about a 1.5# off the NY1 trigger, so I was just curious what it does to the NY2. I figure itI assume the reset would be brisk.

The reason I ask is that the NY1 amplifies the relative break reduction compared to stock trigger spring:

The with the stock trigger spring, the standard to "-" shaves 1.25 lbs., but the same comparison with an NY1 shaves 1.625 lbs. Maybe the "-" would take off 2-3 lbs. with a NY2, making the contrast of front to back really large.

Thanks.

The resulting decrease from changing the connector is about the same across all the trigger springs. The .4lb difference they measured (only 3 measurements) could be from any number of other factors and it's likely the actual trigger weights wouldn't be consistent across multiple guns. Glock's are notoriously difficult to get consistent trigger weight measurements from. Many people will get more than 1.25 difference between standard and minus connectors.

I will occasionally use a NY1 and/or NY2 with a minus connector in my guns for training. I haven't taken measurements with the trigger but the NY2 is significantly heavier with the minus connector than the NY1.

Both trigger springs are cheap, it won't hurt to try them out yourself if you're really curious. That's how I learn :)

Not everyone "hates" the NY Trigger. Agree that it's popular to rail against them, but I'll never make decisions based on that. While I'm fine with the stock trigger and is the config in almost everything, I do prefer - and shoot more consistently with a NY1 and a "-" connector in my G34.

As to your topic of the NY2 - I tried it but it's too much for me. It's the proverbial case of the three bears. At least in my 34, the stock was too light, the NY2 is too much, but the NY1 and "-" connector is "just right".
