I see KKM now offers a 10mm conversion barrel for the G41. Anyone tried this yet?
There has been some speculation the thinner slide of the 41 would be beat to death with a 10mm pounding it back. I would think a heavier recoil spring dialed in to your normal 10mm load would negate that though.
Any predictions on long term use of the 10mm in a G41?
Using a barrel with the same outside dimensions as a .45acp but with a bore for a 10mm means you will have thickers walls. The pressure difference is minimal, same barrel thickness as many other 10mm on the market, so what is the concern? The longer slide of the 41 has got to be close to the same weight as a G29, so then with the proper weight recoul spring, it should be a perfect fit right?
Or are you thinking of something I am missing? Why would it be a bad idea?
The G41 10mm conversion barrel is a beefy *****. I have no worries of a kaboom on mine. Honestly I've been running the stock RSA with 10mm target ammo. I purchased the Jager oversized 4130 RSA with a Wolff 23lb spring, but haven't tried it yet since the slide speerd seams fine even with Nuclear Underwood loads. That might change when things loosen up, but for now I'm leaving the stock RSA in it.
Well .. I flipping the couch and chair cushions .... When I dig in my trucks ashtray .. I maybe springing for a barrel !!!
