So, now I need a new shotgun. And a new arm brace. When will this one hit the market?

Okay, I've had my fun. I don't believe the SIG Brace is suitable for the Shockwave.

I don't want to hold it close enough to my face for a cheek weld. If, by error, I should shoulder it, I don't believe it would be stiff enough to not warp under recoil. Pretty sure the "blade" brace would be similarly prone to collapse under recoil.

It was just one of those "what ifs" that trouble my innocent mind.

I'm happy with it as it is. Wish Mossberg marketed one in 20 gauge.

Since the ATF has reversed it's ruling on shouldering a brace, I'd be curious to see how a Sig Brace would work on the Shockwave.

Will the Mini shells work in a 500? This seems like it's made for them...
You'll need an adapter to run Aguila Mini shells on a 500.

I am not sure about messing around w/ a Shockwave and it's furniture, as any variations from how it was delivered may(MAY) get you into trouble w/ the BATFE. Not only that, I like my Shockwave as is, it's just too handy for me.
Anybody that knows the Regs for a Fact please chime in.

I agree. A 20 Ga. Shockwave would be great. On a 500 platform, not a 590. It would be too heavy in the 590 platform.

You guys realize you could make a 20 ga version out of a pistol grip only (PGO) mossberg. Mossberg sells a number of PGO 20 ga firearms you could cut down. A PGO with the regular pistol grip is 28" OAL. Cut the barrel back 2" to get it to 26". Or add a birdshead grip and cut the barrel to (15") just in front of the mag tube and the OAL will be 27".

I don't like the idea of cutting down an existing gun even if it's technically legal. The advantage to the shockwave is that it's made that way from the factory and is legally sold to the general public.

I just wish they'd offer it in 20 gauge. the 20 gauge is plenty powerful for defensive purposes especially loaded with #3 Buck. I also think the 12 gauge shockwave might handle recoil better with a pistol grip even though it wouldn't look as "cool"

I understand that people feel uncomfortable doing this but it's not a new thing. People have been cutting down PGO 500s for at least 3-5 years which is the reason why Mossberg finally decided to bring out a factory version. The supply was in response to the demand which was created by people already doing it. When something becomes popular enough corporations listen.

In regards to a 20 ga factory version. Give it a year or two. Marketing dictates that you feed the frenzy first. You make people buy the concept which creates the market then you start bringing out all the variations to keep the revenue flowing.

I'm from Pennsylvania and have a LTC, and I still do not clearly understand the following:

1. Can I legally carry a stock Shockwave loaded in my vehicle?

2. Can I legally carry a Shockwave with the SB tactical brace and pistol grip, loaded in my vehicle.

Thank you in advance! Any insight would be helpful.
