G19 IWB holster question. Crossbreed Supertuck or Minituck?
I understand now MiamiC70, do they charge to switch it out? Thanks guys. I am leaning toward Crossbreed because I have a Supertuck horse hide I was using with a Sig and Crossbreed will change out Kydex to my new G19.
If you have a Supertuck and CB will change out the Kydex, I'd say do that before investing in another holster . . . but I'm cheap. That said, I love my CBST in horsehide, but if I were looking for a new IWB, I'd give that Stealthgear Ventcore a very close look. (Not that I own one, mind you . . . )Thanks guys. Where do you recommend to get a better price than at Crossbreed ?Even if you insist on the type of holster the Crossbreed is, dont overpay for the crossbreed name. Get a Theis Holster or another brand if you choose. Dont waist your money on a crossbreed which is lower quality and higher price then many others. As far as the 19...I wouldnt go "mini" with any holster choice. Where are you carrying?
I third a Ventcore for any warm climate over anything else, period.
I'm definitely onboard with the StealthGear Vent Core Holsters. I personally own 3 of them (G19,G43,G36) and I've not found a more comfortable holster. I can wear these holsters all day long and forget I even have them on. The Vent Core system works as advertised for hot and humid areas such as the south. Highly recommended!I second the vent core. Extremely comfortable and not hot it was 80 here in Kentucky this weekend and there was no heat on my body where I was carrying
I live in AZ, 115 in the summer. I wear my Alien Gear all year round. Haha it's not hot.Perhaps you missed the part where I wrote "it doesn't bother me". There are others who agree with that sentiment. Perhaps I'm just cooler in the heat. To be fair, I don't live in Miami.

How does that Kydex feel when your sweating heavily in the summer? I wont wear 2 tshirts to make a holster work for me. I use something similar to an INCOG in the winter but in the heat of the summer it just doesnt work for me personally. Sweaty skin on kydex is not good. It's really a matter of personal preference based on body type and application. Me, I practice for defense, which means I am constantly drawing my gun. As a result, reholstering is required. Like yesterday, I blew through about 300 rounds working on quick drawing hip shooting with follow up shots backing up. I fire anywhere btwn four to six shots at a time, then reholster the gun and go again.
I also find the INCOG to be comfortable enough to wear all day, but it is also adjustable, which makes it easier to move around. I carry AIWB, but if I'm driving long distances and want to relieve the pressure of the gun when sitting for long periods, I can easily remove the gun, keeping it in the holster so that the trigger is protected, and when I'm ready to put it back on, I can do so very quickly and easily.
I've worn a lot of different holsters from Bianchi, BladeTech, Safariland, Galco, AlienGear, you name it, but none work for me like the INCOG does. I can tuck it or go untucked, and it wears really well for me. It's the best holster I've found for what I want. Everyone has their own experiences and wants vs needs. To each their own, but now you know why I won't consider another holster. I'll take a look at it if it is similar to the ones I mentioned, for IWB carry, but you can keep the Stealthgear, Crossbreed, AlienGear rigs.
