What do you think the value is for a Glock17 Gen 1 AS?

Hello Everyone,
I have my Dad's Glock17 Gen1 which I think he bought back in 1986 or 87. It has the original case and 19 round clip. The serial number starts with AS. I was told that it has the "pencil barrel" too...I'm not sure what that means.

The real early Glocks had a smaller diameter barrel and is often called a pencil barrel.

I am sure if you search the internet you could find some pictures of it or references to specific diameter.

It is hard to estimate a value without seeing it. If it was shot much then the value is greatly reduced.

Depending on condition and if it has the original box and paperwork, you're looking at between 500 and 800 to the right person.

But knowing collectors give it a few years and maybe double that amount, i.e. $1,000-1,600. Hold on to it for value as a fathers remembrance. You will regret not having it if you sold it.

Thought that the pencil barrel cut off was AM. Does anyone know for sure?

If the magazine holds 19 rounds it probably has a +2 extension on it.
