I was taking some photos of my guns the other day so I thought I'd post a couple of my rimfires:

CZ 452 American in .17 HMR and a Winchester 62A in .22 short, long and long rifle

CZ 452 American with Ruger Mk II

Here's an obscure one. Erma Excam RX22

Basically a Walther PPKs clone in 22lr. It is a double/single action. The interesting thing is that the safety is not a decocker, it simply blocks the firing pin. You can carry this pistol cocked and locked if you want to. It is an 8 shot.

Made by German company Erma and imported and assembled in the US by Excam to get around import restrictions in the 1980s. It is a fun little gun to shoot.

Another obscure one. H&R 686 convertible. 22/22mag. While it looks like a single action it can be fired double action. The DA pull is really, really heavy however. It was about a $100 gun back in the 1980s. Case hardened frame, wood grips, adjustable sights with a 22 mag cylinder. H&R gave you a lot of value for the money.

Another one of my more obscure rimfires. Ar7 Explorer II pistol. Offered by Charter Arms for a limited time in the 1980's, it is the pistol version of the Ar7 rifle.

Came with two barrels, a 4" & 6" and two magazines. One mag fits in the grip.

Ramline made some 25 round mags for the Ar7s which worked most of the time until the plastic feed lips wore out. Now they don't work most of the time.

I bought a full length Ar7 bbl off of ebay back in the day and cut it down/threaded it at 10". I had to cut another notch in the receiver to make it fit as the rifle and pistols couldn't share barrels to prevent the pistol bbls from being put on the rifle. Rifle barrel on a pistol is okay though. Turned it into a crew served weapon.

While it was mostly reliable with factory mags, it largely depended on the mag you fed it with. The mags had a built in feed ramp, some worked, some didn't. It was fairly accurate as well. I had a side mounted scope mount for my Ar7 and could put a pistol scope on the pistol. Kind of a poor mans Charger take down.

It was big and awkward to carry and nobody made holsters for it. Subsequently I cut a slot in the back of the grip to carry it with a strap. I bought a couple of them on clearance after they stopped making them for less than $100/ea and gave one to my brother.

I had one of those.
Henry should bring them back with a 10" bbl and brace option. Could compete with the Ruger Charger. Actually the standard Ar7 receiver could be used if it came from the factory without the stock. No need for the funky pistol grip anymore.

Someone made a collapsible pistol grip stock for the rifle back in the day. It came with a barrel and shroud. I bought the kit in the 1980s. Eventually removed the barrel shroud.

I also took the pistol grip off and used the Ar7 as a light weight backpack rifle for several years. It could be made quite compact without the bulky plastic stock that it came in. Shown held together with "ranger bands" aka pieces of inner tube.

I have a special love for Anschütz 54 sporters, especially in .22 l.r. and with the German set trigger, the DST.

This is a rare Millenium model, a 1710 ST KL, with a Bavarian cheek piece and a Triflex scope, made by S&B

Last Sunday was a fun filled day of tough shooting with 22s.

Scooter shooting his 40X Elrod repeater (Vudoo version 1.0) off some tires at the 150 and 200 yard targets.

MaryBeth and her Vudoo shooting off the top of a picnic bench at some small targets 100-150 yards away.

Shawn putting the beat down on the 80 yard mover off the rooftop.
