    ok i need help. what is a good video downloader to use to take videos off of youtube and watch them on another computer. or how do you do it?

    There are numerous extensions that do this for Chrome and Firefox...

  7. +1. The add-on I use for Firefox is "Easy Youtube Video Downloader." Lets you download the video in the format (.flv or .mp4) and the quality you choose.
  8. Why not just use Works great and no need for a browser plug-in.

    The DownloadHelper plug-in for Firefox works well.

    There is also IE DownloadHelper plug-in for IE. Not as good as the Fireafox DownLoad Helper.

    I'm not sure what's proper to discuss here on this forum and what isn't. But plainly stated: downloading videos off YouTube that aren't specifically set up for that is against their ToS, and illegal. Videos that are set up for that will have a little "download" link somewhere next to them.

    The other exception to that rule is if you already own the video.

    So, basically, if you're going to do it, have at it. But cease and desist the discussions about it here unless you want to get Eric, et al, in trouble for it.
