Ok, so I picked up a bi-tone XDs .45 yesterday, shot about 120 rounds through it, and love it. I was shooting ok groups when I was really concentrating on it, but some of my shots were going way off, even when I felt like I was dead on. None of my Glocks do that, they may have one or two flyers during a range session at close yards (5-7 yards), but never a one or two per 5 rounds! It's almost like sometimes my XDs just wants to shoot where it wanted to, haha... but it could just be i need more practice with it. Maybe I just didn't notice how off or how much I jerked the trigger or something? I'm also using the thumbs forward grip after a few years of a "thumbs crossed" type of grip haha, so all my groups are less than desired still (on any gun). Here is a shot of one group of 5 at about 5 to 7 yards: and the same target after about 50-60 rounds: I have WAY more off the black than I would want That being said, I noticed when cleaning today that my barrel has slide marks all over it, and not in a uniformed "Glock" style way. (if that makes sense). All my glocks get a uniformed "smiley face" looking mark on the barrels. The XDs' barrel looks like it was getting chewed on by the slide! here are some pics of the barrel after only 120 rounds: EDIT: I guess you can't see in the pics, but these marks are on both the top and the bottom of the barrel. Is this normal? I have seen a few videos of the all black XDs and even after hundreds of rounds, I couldn't notice as many barrel marks as mine.
