I like the XDM better. It has a better trigger (not that much better though). Now, is it worth $150 more. I don't think so. But, I have an XDM 9 and it shoot great.

    XDm for sure.

It just feels better in hand.

I have the M in .45 and I am lucky because i didn't have a choice, it was a gift from the wife. The odd thing is that I was sure I would like the smallest backstrap given the size of my mitts, but I ended up more comfortable with the middle size, which is about the same as the XDs. But as far as accuracy I am a big fan of the M. I don't know if the XDs are as accurate and I am not about to buy one to find out. It is noticably more accurate than my Glock 22.

If they would just make it in 10mm.

Accuracy in a "M"because it is a match grade barrel. The 45 is fantastic.
  5. The M is not more acurrate than the regular XD. At least not for me... maybe Im not a good enough shot. For the prices, I would do a regular XD unless you want it for carry then its XDM compact all the way.

Both are GREAT. My first gun was an XD. Its now the nightstand gun. My newest gun is my XDM compact that I carry. 12 rounds in .40 in a small easily concealed package!!?? Hell yeah!

I got a 3.8 XDm in 9mm with 3 19 round mags and 4 13 rounders and,it shoots just perfect for me. Bought it used from Cabela's for about $200 dollars. Had a rifle that I don't shoot anymore and I am disabled and don;t go hunting anymore because of finances and gas money. Had a Remington 7mm mag rifle and traded it.

It is a rare XD that will feed SWC bullets. XDM feeds SWC.

I like my xd45 a little more than the xdm9. I actually don't shoot one better than the other, they are both about the same for me.

My XD .45 Compact ate anything I fed it, including SWC, LSWCHP, etc. :dunno:

I tried and liked the XDm 9 (though I didn't care much for the 5.25) but in the end, I didn't like it enough to make want to switch away from a Glock.

XDm for me, had one in .40 which I sold, then one in 9mm that I traded when the Gen 4 Glocks came out.

Shot an XDm 9mm for the first time today. Excellent sights and ergonomics, but what really caught me was the after-market Powder River Precision trigger - terrific pull and reset, one of the best triggers I've ever felt (and I've shot fine custom triggers on 1911's and CZ's). I shot the the pistol better than almost any handgun I've ever used, even though it was brand new to me.
  14. I have experience with neither, but think its interesting marketing. Basically, it looks like SA said that the XD was crap and the XDM was Cadillac.

I've owned the XDsc40, and XDm40 and sold them off. I still own the XD45 and XDm9. Out of all 4, the XD45 is my favorite and the XDm9 my close second. Not that I didn't like the XDm40, I just had a buddy who wanted it for what I had in it. The XDsc40 felt like I was holding a chunk of 2x4 in my hand. I think the whole line of XD/XDm guns are as good as anything Glock ever made and I'm a HUGE Glock fan.
